Convenient and well priced option for cruise passengers. Comfortable and quiet rooms. No lift but not many stairs. Excellent Indian restaurant in walking distance.

Large very clean room with nice en-suite shower and wc. Room also had a small table and chairs and sink with kettle, tea, coffee and cutlery and plates. Bed was very comfy. Only two small things. Loose towel rail and toilet seat not fully secured. Jackie on check-in very helpful with any information we needed including helping us with bus information and where to eat.

Lovely little hotel in Woolston, Southampton just an 8 minute drive to Ocean dock for P&O. The room was spotless, the bed soft and comfortable and the check in couldn't have been simpler. Highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay.

Room was musty and smelled damp when we first arrived which we thought would clear but never improved for the time we were there despite windows and doors open. 2nd bed wasn’t even a proper bed, just a mattress on a base barely 8” off the ground and when lifting the mattress to check for lost toys, we found it to be mouldy! Towels extremely hard and coarse and alwere clearly very old. Bedding and pillows smelt musty and bowls and cups provided were covered in a thin layer of dust. For a “deluxe en suite” I expected much better and there was no way I could’ve stayed more than 1 night. Staff were very friendly and helpful but the room was poor and at £130 a night it needs serious improvement, or at the very least a good clean.

We stayed for two nights, the room was nice, modern and clean, and the host was friendly during check-in. While the accommodation felt secure, I'd have to say there was quite a lot of noise from the other guests, partly because the corridor is an echo chamber, with a fairly sizeable gap at the bottom of the door that sounds travel straight through. (The other guests' behaviour obviously isn't the host's fault, but between slamming doors, having full volume conversations in the corridor at almost midnight, and yelling while using the bathrooms, they managed to make it a rather restless night). I think it would be really good to carpet the corridor between rooms to muffle some of the noises, or attach a muffling/brush strip to the bottom of the door. It's worth saying there is a train which regularly passed quite close too, this was less of an issue for us than the other guests, but probably not ideal for light sleepers. So maybe bring earplugs, because it's a nice room with a really comfortable bed, just other people doing their best to spoil it.

Check in was quick and easy, the only problem for me was hauling my bags up the outer staircase. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower room was also clean. Jacqui was very pleasant and helpful, and I would happily stay here again.

If you need a clean room for a night before a cruise and don't want to spend the $300-400 per night that hotels closer to the cruise port charge, the Swan Inn is a good option .Rooms are sparsely furnished but they have everything you need, including a kettle and coffee/tea.The only downside is that there are very few restaurants around the hotel. We took an Uber to downtown which is only a few miles away.

Lovely hotel, unfortunately had a power outage when we woke up in the morning, not the hotels fault, as it was down the the storm in the area. It would have been a good gesture to have notified us what the issue was and kept us informed. Otherwise, a great stay, comfortable, clean and very convenient.

Simple accommodation, done brilliantly, and run by a super-helpful manager. A very warm welcome on arrival, a clean and comfortable room, and a good night's sleep.
