Great and easy

Kind of expensive for the room size

Overall, very nice stay until i was charged $125 to valet my car for each night?!?! This was never disclosed upon arrival and management skirted the issue. This is absolute price gauging

It is very nice hotel in a very good area with very good services

There was no VIP recognition even if we mentioned this at the time of check in. No upgrade not any hotel credit

No customer service. They don’t answer room service phones, and it’s very loud between rooms. Never returning.

I stayed here with 3 friends for a girls’ trip. This hotel exceeded our expectations. The price was fair, and our room was spacious, which is unusual for NYC. It was comfortable and pretty quiet as well. The window curtains blocked out light completely so the room could stay dark even in the daylight. Staff was friendly and the bar area downstairs was so nice. Highly recommend this place!

Everything from the staff to our room upgrade was wonderful! Room/ bathroom were spacious and very clean. We unexpectedly were able to check-in early which was really nice. Both check-in and check-out were a breeze. I highly recommend to others to book here. I will certainly return to this property for future trips.

The hotel was great but they overcharged me almost $500 and am still waiting for a refund.

Awesome stay as usual. I wish the windows were better which would lead to a quieter stay, but otherwise, staff was great as usual - especially front desk - and went over and beyond for our stay. Thank you so much

Good location. Service is friendly.

Everything about our stay was great. We stayed 4 nights and 3 days. The outside traffic was noisy in the mornings mostly but that’s not the fault of the hotel. That the hustle and bustle of the city. We chose a suite with a view of the Empire State Building and it exceeded our expectations. The only recommendation I have is to make sure to check out in person. We almost had a valet charged to our room that was not ours, however it was a very easy fix at checkout. All in all great place to stay and would stay again.

Did not receive the caliber of room I paid for. Room was so tiny one almost hit the bed when opening the door. This is a very tired and shabby hotel

Great hotel and location.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are super attentive. The rooms were the most surprising; they are huge by NY City standards. Our deluxe queen bed room was very spacious with plenty of room to move around and not trip over our things. The bathroom had both a shower and a tub/shower combo and a gorgeous marble sink. This was the ideal setup for 3 girls on a weekend getaway. Although we didn’t have the chance to eat at Scarpetta this time, it’s long been a favorite of mine. The lobby bar was really cute and very busy. They offer coffee and tea complimentary every morning which is also a nice touch. My ONLY complaint was that they had a name change from The James to Seville and we weren’t notified. We had trouble finding the property as a result and the front desk was a bit chaotic adjusting to the new check in system. Otherwise, it was a lovely stay and I would definitely stay there again.

The lobby area is super nice, but the rooms are shabby and outdated. Rust in the shower, old carpet, peeling floor boards. Towels and sheets are cheap, my sheets had holes in them. Definitely nicer hotels for the same price in midtown. On the plus side the staff is very friendly and the location is great!

Unfortunately check-in was a disaster. I was staying in the city for work and I understand when an early check-in isn’t available but when it’s 430pm I’ve been working all day and now I’m still unable to get a room to get cleaned up before a work event that going to go until the late night. Very unfortunate. I wish the hotel contacted us prior to arrival or how about a voucher to make up for the inconvenience. Bed and bathroom was comfortable, only a frosted window with no view of the outside.. but it didn’t really matter since I barely had any time in the room

We had a great stay. My only negative would be I have reached out to accounting both by email and phone to get a copy of my folio for over a week and nothing still. Feel I was overcharged for some items.
