It's very clean, basic but has all you need for a short stay. The breakfast wasn't the best I had in Japan. Breakfast area It's not too comfortable when it gets crowded at peak times.

Loved that it was 5 min walk from the station! The area felt very safe although I wasnt out in the dark. My room was on the 2nd floor facing the laneway ( which is where the entrance is). I felt very safe as a single female. The breakfast was very varied. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Can’t beat the location. Also Reasonable. Complementary Breakfast was good. You can bring it to your room.

Toyoko inn is always a great stay. Rooms are clean and comfy. Convenient location, friendly staff, good breakfast included. It’s always been a good stay at their many locations. Great value for money Highly recommend

I loved my stay at this hotel. Yes, the hotel is old and outdated for sure, but it is kept clean. My room was small, but the bed was bigger than expected. The free, hot breakfast was very nice. Many dishes (not only eggs and sausages but also cooked vegetables, meat, miso soup, etc.). But due to the breakfast area being small, the line was long. It was really close to Okayama Station. There are two convenience stores nearby (Lawson and Seven-Eleven). Lots of restaurants around. Some front desk people should be more friendly. I don't know if I want to return with my family, but the hotel catered to my basic needs (traveling alone).

Great location. Near JR station, bus stop and convenience store. The breakfast although simple, good enough. The room is clean and comfortable.

The location was best. Their English communication was poor. I had to use Google Translator in most cases.

They specify their room cleaning hours at check-in; 10am - 4pm; and they expect guests to vacate the room for this service. I received a reminder phone call from front desk at 10.15am after my first night.

Nice little hotel close to okayama station. Has all basic amenities and free breakfast in the mornings. Staff speak a little English.

Decent business class hotel with free smallish Japanese breakfast. Very small room for two twin beds and the beds were very hard, but overall pretty good. Staff was very friendly.

Reasonable size for the room and bathroom and convenient.

While the room was likely ready when I arrived, they made me wait until 4pm to check in. If you pay them to be a "member" you can check in at 3. They expect you to stay out of your room between 10 and 4 for their housekeeping - a time when they leave all the room doors open as they go about doing the same activity to each room before doing the next activity. They get really put out when you need to access your room at this time and make you wait in the lobby until they contact the housekeeping people. I had a pair of white bottomed slippers from a previous hotel that I used in the room instead of the brown ones that they provide and say that they reuse. After a week the bottoms of the white slippers were brown. Likewise the filter in my CPAP breathing machine was grey. Both suggested that while they cleaned the visible locations in the room, the carpets were not clean.

It’s a no frills no thrills standardised chain hotel. A very mediocre breakfast, tired interior and the reception staff were very good but perhaps overworked.
