I am a repeater at this hotel, I like and feel comfortable with the clean + compact + quiet room atmosphere, so I extended to rest for another night here,
What makes me uncomfortable is the staff, especially at the Reception (a short woman)
1. Because I have contacted to confirm that I will check out on that day, the reception staff should have coordinated with Housekeeping, which rooms will be checked out and which will be extended, based on confirmation from the guest concerned, so that the HK staff does not need to knock on the room.
This means that the Reception staff did not coordinate or could not coordinate with other teams.
2. When checking out, I was at the Reception at 12.45, indeed the check out time is 12 noon, but there can be an exception if there is something / situation that causes the check out time to be postponed to Max. 1 pm (which is free of charge) this applies to all properties throughout Indonesia,
then when the deposit money was returned which should have been intact because there was no damage to the room that I caused + no purchase of F & B products + no laundry payment, but this female receptionist CUT MY DEPOSIT IN HALF, with the reason that I checked out later than 12, I rejected this, with an explanation, yesterday before I extended I told the HK staff, I would check out at 1 pm, because the HK staff knew the SOP, she had no problem with my request,
but this female staff, denied the argument by saying "yesterday's HK staff allowed it because you checked in early in the morning, so you got a break"
in fact I checked in around 9 pm, then she said "save check out 12 o'clock sir", I refused again, because her argument was baseless at all, it wasn't the Nominal that was the problem for me, but the gesture + delivery of the Receptionist (female), the problem!
MY SUGGESTION, BE MORE CAREFUL WHEN CHECKING OUT, TO AVOID UNPLEASANT SITUATIONS LIKE THE ONE I EXPERIENCED,
THEN FOR THE HOTEL, THEY SHOULD TRAIN THEIR STAFF MORE OFTEN, SO THAT REPEATER GUESTS / REGULAR GUESTS, STILL CHOOSE TO STAY AT SAVE HOTEL BJM
