The hotel is very very clean. Worth the pay. But do not expect the staff there to go the extra mile for you. They are just doing their jobs and they love to earn extra money for their hotel whenever they have the chance so do not expect too much from them. But I do not care because as long as the accommodations are clean and comfortable especially when you have small kids and a baby it's all that matters. The room is not soundproof proof so please bear in mind the hotel is not a place if you want to do healing or whatever luckily my kids can still sleep despite all the noise so it won't bother me. If your room direct Lotus view in the morning around 6 am something there got activities like Taichi and etc loud sound system talking in Chinese, people tend to get annoy when they do not understand something plus is very annoying and noisy. Bingit kot. Because we will feel annoy hearing something we do not understand the meaning. The best thing about this hotel is it is walking distance to Lotus 5 min only, if you run maybe less than that. I am a food lover, at night got gerai charkuehtiaw by this malay old couple, the portions are big and most importantly the kuehtiaw was delicious, and they got satay stall next to them. Got another stall opposite the bank, the nasi lemak stall (night stall). The nasi lmk with ayam berempah and their chicken rendang is so awesome and the sambal oh my God not ngarut like our mom cooking at home. The stall is open at night. The price is reasonable and the portion is big. In the morning got gerai nasi lmk by the old Malay couple, the gerai is delicious also, the kuih is so delicious variety of choice, the nasi lmk and sambal sedap, and the mee goreng with telur mata and sambal is like throwing back your memory during school time. Sedap woo. And then got another Malay uncle selling nasi lmk in front of the bank, all wrap nasi lmk such as nasi lmk ayam, sotong, kerang, paru rm2 same price. Not to forget if you are a Mamak fan next to the hotel Kedai Mamak selling the murtabak taiping resepi since 1974 but honestly for me the murtabak biasa-biasa. Plus they do not have the pink bawang. Mana boleh murtabak xde bawang pink it not a complete seat. But the murtabak is big and tebal. If you want to eat murtabak you can go to Naina Mohamed the one we tried next to the Oppo building because they have lots of branches in Ipoh. The restaurant is really clean, they keep mopping the place almost every minute, their food is delicious and not pricey, and most important the restaurant is clean. The dobby is just next to Kedai Mamak for you to wash your clothes too. Really convenient right? Cleanliness is my top priority when choosing anything like the hotel although most of their staff are not very friendly and stern I do not mind I will come again to the hotel because of their cleanliness. And you have to pick up your own things using the hotel trolley because none of the staff will be your bell boy or something. Even if you have lots of small kids to handle is not their business nobody will come or help you. So do not hope the staff will go the extra mile for you. If you book via an app is cheaper but if you have lots of money to spend just walk in. 🤭. For example, the staff will call you around 11 to ask you to get out of your room and ask us to get out before 12. It is not even a peak hour. The hotel is not fully booked, and the next guest will be here around 3 pm. They said they need to clean the room quickly. It was not that much different if they gave us time to go out of the room before 12.30 but that is how they are so you have to know your right by letting us know you will get out of the room not before 12 but sharp at 12. How pathetic and funny is that? Yerlah I have three kids to handle and my husband's event finishes by 12:30 something like. If a common sense tak kan halau customer macam tu. I do not know why all the Indian staff yang kerja dekat counter mcm takde common sense especially yang rambut mcm alleycat tu. Berlagak nak mampus maybe hotel tu bapak dia punya. And the Indian girl handling the counter is suck too. When the manager already made a decision pun mereka boleh persoalkan and ask us to do accordingly to what they instructed. Memang poor management in dealing with staff. Maybe susah nak cari org kerja kot. Jadi management has to bear with staff yang ada. The housekeeping team is great and friendly kudos to them. They made the hotel very clean and comfy. They are very nice people too. Thank you for making us feel welcome. The counter people should learn how to treat guests respectfully. Takpe berlakon sebab you are the front face of the hotel that brings the hotel first impression. Tak suruh suka customer tp tak perlu nampak obvious sangat bila ko tak suka orang tu. So do not hold a grudge and just do business when it is related to deal with this hotel. Ok lah that is it I guess!
