I made the mistake of choosing a standard fan room and then upgrading to a standard AC room, which cost me an additional Rp 50,000 per room. I was skeptical at first, but when I tried it, it was really nice. It wasn't a new building, but it was comfortable, like home. Most importantly, it was very close to the beach, just a short walk across the street.

Pondok Wulan is the right choice to stay if you want to vacation in Pangandaran with a limited budget. The rooms are clean and the location is close to the west coast of Pangandaran. Access to the location is only 1 car, but it is still safe because the innkeeper remains on standby until the evening. There are many food vendors around the inn.
