Front desk and all the female stuff are unfriendly. Room is not good and it’s pricey. Everything you ask you have to pay for.

Great choice for a hotel stay. Property is clean and their staff are very courteous. They had provided early check-in option which we appreciated as we had arrived at the hotel around 9am. The room we were in was a triple room. It was spacious. Hotel is near the public market and the cathedral.

Under maintained bathroom and unfriendly staff most especially the receptionists. Can’t afford to smile to their guests.

Their helpdesk and kitchen/restaurant are not 24 hours open, so when you need something or hungry you need to go outside and buy it yourself. Wifi and the phone isn't working and the tv as said on the amenities included. I was very disappointed! Other staff not friendly. I do not recommend staying here in this hotel. The next time I'll come back in Dumaguete I'm going to look for other hotel.

The hotel staff were professional and accommodating. I asked for hot water twice during our stay and they were prompt in seeing to my request. On the day of check-out, they allowed us to leave our backpacks in the lobby. Points for improvement are: 1) the WiFi; our room was in the 3rd floor, but unfortunately, though they restarted the router, the WiFi still wasn't available. Only got to connect in the lobby, and 2) the blankets could be of thicker linen.

Staff lacks training, not hospitable, and they are not very helpful. They don't provide bottled water. They charge when you ask for extra pillow. They charge when you ask to freeze silvanas. Shower and faucet malfunction. you cannot turn off faucet if you turn on shower. They only clean room upon request. Staff lacks knowledge about tourist places, they will just refer you to an agency outside. When I checked out, they did not help me look for tricycle going to airport. I went outside road and looked for my own tricycle. I hardly can open the door because of my luggages but staff just watched me and never helped me.

Staff lacks training on how to welcome guests and has poor knowledge on the tourist places in the city. When I asked about places to go, reception just said that there is a travel agency outside so I will just ask there. They also did not assist me in my check-out. I looked for my own tricycle going to the airport. I have several luggage but no one from the staff opened the door and assisted me loading my things in the tricycle. They all just watched me!!! They just clean your room upon request. No free bottled water, they will give you water in a pitcher upon request. No electric outlet beside the bed, shower/faucet broken- you cannot turn-off the other. If you will use their freezer for your sylvanas, they will charge you. I requested extra pillow, they will also charge you. Very poor service, and charge almost everything I strongly do not recommend staying in this hotel.

Hotel Palwa is perfect if you want to stay at the center of the city. Nice ambiance at the room and good for staying. The bathroom was clean and air-condition functions well. The facilities like TV, shower and the designs of the flooring seems like in Makati or Ortigas! Such a nice hotel to stay! Recommendable to all travellers to lay for some relaxation after a tiring day! Price is enough with what the room can offer. Brilliant!
