I missed a small fridge in the room for soft drinks to stay cool. Also, the TV channels weren’t that good; luckily, I have an iPad with me. I used one teabag, but it was never refilled. A small towel in the bathroom would have been nice. These are some recommendations. I had a nice stay.

It's a fun place to be. When you need peace and a different work environment, The City Hotel is the perfect choice. It's comfortable, clean, has a great view, and the restaurant is especially great. 👍👍 #recommended

Finally a good hotel in Kota Ambon, worth the money. Not pretentious and clean. Good shower. Staff is helpful and friendly, from receptionist to bellboy, to cleaners, to waiters/waitresses.

It could be better. The room smelled of cigarettes at certain times and also had a strong durian smell. Perhaps the air circulation was from neighboring rooms. The light in the middle of the room didn't work. There were very limited power outlets in the room. The internet connection was poor and frequently down. The breakfast menu was very satisfying. I might return if there were new testimonials from other customers about the improvements.

After several years, the hotel needed maintenance. Many of the HPL layers were peeling, and the water in the shower and toilet had a very low flow, like a drizzle.

Nice hotel. It's on a busy road, though. The staff is great. The rooftop restaurant is fantastic. The food is delicious and there's plenty of choice. There aren't many sockets, so it's inconvenient if you want to charge devices.
