Overall, the hotel is clean and tidy. The atmosphere is really cool and pleasant. The cafe is also really cool.

The sheets and blankets were torn. The balcony chairs had holes from being ironed. The TV was blurry and unwatchable. The bathroom sink faucet was creaky. Some of the shelves in the room were not clean and dented. The bathroom walls were generally dirty and used black buckets and ladles. By breakfast time, everyone had finished eating. The room had no ventilation and no air conditioning.

1. There are no phones in the hotel rooms. 2. There is no security for vehicle security. 3. The staff are not very friendly and helpful.

The room was dirty and not as reviewed, booked a deluxe room on the 3rd floor, apparently the 3rd floor is right under the restaurant, until 11 pm there was still noise, the bed cover, towels, mosquito net were all very dirty and smelled dusty.

The bedroom lacks privacy. The walls are only separated by plywood covered with wallpaper, so even the slightest sound can be heard in the next room. The bathroom is also poorly maintained. The price is not commensurate with the facilities and quality provided.

My first impressions of my staycation at Hotel Kalang Ulu Berastagi. The hotel is very close to Warung Wajit Bahagia, and it only takes 10 minutes to get to Berastagi town. There's an elevator and a cafe serving delicious snacks. The hotel's ambiance is very beautiful, with the air at a cool 15-17 degrees Celsius. The room lacks a water heater, and the toilet seems old (room 308). Traveloka doesn't offer all the room options, even though there are many. The TV is old (not a smart TV), and the sink doesn't have hot water, making Berastagi very cold. The room isn't soundproof. The breakfast menu isn't varied. The food is standard, and the brunch time is very limited (starting at 7:30 a.m. WIB).

Soundproofing for deluxe and superior rooms needs improvement, as noise from neighboring rooms, including lobby noise and parking attendants, still intrudes and disrupts rest. Superior rooms should also be cleaned. More seating could be provided in the restaurant for weekends.
