The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else is completely outdated, which explains why they’re renovating next year and closing for two years. This is definitely not a 5-star hotel — more like a 2 or maybe 3-star at best. I honestly don’t know how they managed to keep their 5-star status in Germany, where standards are usually quite strict. My first room was a decent size for a single, but it felt like a sauna. When I called the front desk, they told me to “just open the window,” which would have let in every insect possible since there are no window screens. Later I discovered the heater was stuck on full blast, even though the thermostat was turned off — it was completely broken. I asked for another room but was told the hotel was fully booked. Thankfully, Marta, a very kind staff member who brought me a fan, saw how unbearable the room was and advocated for me. Without her help, I might have passed out from the heat. The second room I was moved to was half the size and smelled strongly of mold, but at least the temperature was tolerable. Overall, I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not for the price they charge. I still have one more night to stay and honestly wish I could leave. I just hope I don’t get sick from the mold smell. I will ask if I can be moved to another room tomorrow but I doubt they will be very helpful at the front desk based on my previous experience. Editing because I did receive excellent service in the morning from reception I did not catch the lady’s name, but she tried her best to make the situation right and promised me an adequate room when I came back from my meeting which she did. I still sticl by the fact that based on amenities it’s a 3 star, but I’m much happier with my room today.

The location is the only good thing about this hotel. It might have been a five star decades ago, but now the rooms are outdated (in every aspect imaginable), there is no turn down service (it’s basically super understaff and the ones who are there mostly don’t speak any German). Hopefully it will be bought and renovated one day, for now I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

A fourty year ambition was achieved by staying at the Nassauer Hof. Whilst they’re clearly winding down a bit before the huge refurb, we had the best stay - gorgeous hotel, great room, charming personnel and the location is perfect. Will start saving now to stay when the refurb is complete. Hope it retains its classy, restrained atmosphere. ❤️

Spacious Rooms, Great Staff – But Not Worth the Price The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful. I was waiting briefly in the car for my parents at the entrance and got asked twice what I was doing — a bit much, but at least they’re attentive! That said, the price is hard to justify. It may be 10–20% better than other 4-star hotels in Wiesbaden, but it costs nearly 3 times as much. The thermal bath is a highlight and definitely a nice feature, but overall, the value for money just isn’t there.

The Nassauer Hof is certainly the grand hotel of Wiesbaden! It's location is hard to beat, especially for the Christmas Market which we were there to see. Very centrally located and a stunning building. The rooms were a great size and very comfortable. The spa pool was a nice inclusion to the stay as well. The bar was very lively in the evenings. I did not eat at the restaurant, but it does have a michelin star and the hotel breakfast was good (if not a bit expensive). Despite the grandness of the hotel, it's feeling a little dated. It feels like it was the height of elegance 40 years ago. No issues with the room, but I would say it was a little overpriced. Our view was of a nothing courtyard. The hotel bar allows smoking and was not so great to be in. We arrived with a car and it's not entirely obvious where to pull-in for valet or to unload luggage since the circle drive actually says taxis only. The staff was kind, but often seemed a bit annoyed to answer questions. The spa pool is nice, but basically just lukewarm and the sauna is an extra cost. The breakfast was good, but not quite worth the price tag. All in all, a nice stay, but the overall experience doesn't quite live up to the curb appeal
