I recently stayed at Hotel Villa Segurata and wanted to share my experience. The hotel is situated in a prime location, close to the center square with easy access to restaurants, souvenir shops, fruit vendors, a mini mart, and a café offering quick bites (Pizza , sandwiches, Calzones, donuts, water bottles at reasonable prices. The front desk staff, especially Nikolina, were friendly and professional. She arranged a driver to pick me up from the airport, which is about 35 minutes away.
The hotel is near Ploce Gate, one of the three main entrances to the Old Town (Buza Gate, Pile Gate). Note that cars are not allowed beyond this point, and the cobblestone streets make packing the right luggage essential. Also, the hotel does not have an elevator. Check-in was quick. Please remember that if you choose to pay at check-in, payment must be made in cash.
Pros:
- Good water pressure
- Comfortable bed with soft sheets
- Working AC
- Free TV
- Full-size bedroom mirror
- Fresh towels provided
- Clean and nice restroom
- Desk with electric kettle
- Inviting and cozy atmosphere
Cons:
- No lobby area to relax
- Noise from the alley-facing first-floor room
- Presence of cats outside the hotel, which may be an issue for some people.
Nikola, the front desk manager, provided a helpful map with detailed instructions and recommendations. If I return to Dubrovnik, I would definitely rebook this hotel. For beach weather, I recommend visiting from mid-June onwards
