The music themed room was very cool with all the drawers, lights and artwork made out of musical instruments and speakers. The room itself was a nice size, quiet and very clean with a very comfortable bed. The check-in staff was helpful and friendly with good suggestions on where to go and what to see. The daily breakfast was fanatatstic, healthy, and had many vegan and vegetarian options. But again, the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. Overall, Hotel Indigo was a great stay and I highly recommend it. Well done!

Fabulous helpful staff. Good selection of breakfast dishes and evening meal was good but selection limited. Location ideal for shoppers and access to centre and New Theatre Unfortunately our arrival was marred because it was difficult to find the hotel with a car and we were not aware that we would have to use an NCP car park some distance away. We are disabled and fortunately Asif kindly advised us of disabled spaces behind the hotel and checked if one was available for me, as I had to walk a long way to get into the hotel. We got a disabled space, but were reluctant to leave it during our stay, and this limited where we could go, as we could not risk not getting a space afterwards. The worst part was that the bed was impossible to sleep in. It was very high and so soft we felt as if we would fall our every time we turned over. You could not sit on it because you slid off it. We would have left after first night, but had a show booked, so stuck it out for a second night but curtailed our stay. Reception were understanding and made a generous offer to compensate us. They admitted that the mattresses were in the process of being changed.

Loved it, 2nd stay and everything was perfect ! Comfiest hotel beds ever, great ammenities, staff very helpful and with the nice weather the rooftop bar was a great perk too!

Great stay at indigo, staff were really helpful and room was beautiful. The best hotel I've stayed at in Cardiff. Only one thing i found disappointing and that's you have to pay £16.95 for breakfast whether you are a solo traveller or a couple. It would be nice if there was a individual breakfast price.

Please don’t judge this hotel by the outside appearance, I entered from the Tower car park end and I really was not impressed. However, I asked the two people in front of me who were checking in had they stayed here before and they both said yes and smiled, so that gave me confidence to remain and sign in. Once signed in by very helpful staff all was good, the room was spotlessly clean, fab shower & huge bed (comfortable too). I was disappointed in having to go to the top floor to the bar and restaurant and only a small balcony outside to sit or stand in the Sun. Exiting the hotel from the opposite end from where I entered was ideally located straight out into a busy high Street where lots of eateries and pubs and a variety of different shops were at hand. The important question being, would I stay at the hotel again…………..YES I would. P.s I didn’t have the breakfast because I thought at £16 was expensive.

Excellent hotel in centre of Cardiff. Large room with first class facilities. Rooftop restaurant provided a good range of meals and breakfast was first class. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Good:Lovely rooms, convenient and friendly staff. Bad: Parking a little painful and it’s rough outside the hotel…even though it’s one of Cardiffs main streets, weed smoked everywhere and homeless sleeping at both entrances….council should sort this out and clean up the streets and provides homes for these people!

Lovely hotel, helpful staff, spotless rooms

Loved the location near Cardiff Castle, within easy walking distance to lots of fun sights. Friendly staff and fun coal mine themed decorations. Good breakfast.

Really clean and nice helpfull stuff definatly recomended

We stayed at this hotel in order to visit the National Museum which is nearby. It is also close to Queen Street station. We enjoyed the overall ambience of the hotel and particularly liked the restaurant and the roof top bar. The staff of the restaurant/bar provided excellent service at dinner and breakfast. The range of choices available for breakfast was excellent. Our stay coincided with the heatwave but the room was air conditioned and cool.

What a wonderful hotel, made extra special by the amazing staff. From the lovely welcome by Callum and Nathan on to any and everyone who made the stay personal, professional and caring. Great room, wonderful feeling of wales, and little touches like rocking chair. Perfect breakfast with both buffet and à la cart, and walking distance from anything you want. Thank you! Amazing staff, quirky hotel in a fab location

Amazing staff, Callum who checked us in and out, was quick, funny and professional and I think his name was David, working then late shift on Sunday the 21st. Sorry if I've got his name wrong. both were really helpful. We loved the room and everything was great. I would highly recommend a stay at your hotel to friends. Thank you for a great stay.

Callum on reception was super welcoming and friendly as was the gentleman who checked us in and showed us to our table for breakfast. Our room was clean, spacious and had all the extra amenities you’d expect from a higher end hotel. The breakfast was cooked well with plenty of options, We liked the added touch of being able to order from the kitchen if you didn’t like the buffet offer. Only minimal downside was the alcohol on taps in the bar upstairs were random brands and didn’t taste great. This made us leave earlier than planned.
