The good: The room is located in a very walkable area of Split between the city center and Bacvice. The room was up to date and had all the necessary amenities. The bed was also quite comfortable. The bad: The room smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke even though there are “no smoking” signs posted on the premises. I informed the owner of this during our stay and he said that maybe it was smoke drifting in through the window. It was not. The smell of cigarette smoke was so ingrained in the room that multiple guests have likely smoked in this room before. I hope the owner actually addresses this problem instead of making more excuses.

Great location, very clean.

Could be annoying if you have lots of luggages: they located in 3rd floor but otherwise the room is clean and modern, next to the beach but also quiet.

Located in a traditional European walk up apartment, this very clean suite had a great view of Bačvice…although construction next door might soon obscure it…The location was excellent, with the beach within 100m and all options available from the old fortress within a short walk. The ferry terminal to connecting islands of Bol and Hvar is very convenient, as is the train and bus station. The effort to provide a comfortable stay is evident throughout the suite, but the only issue is the entrance and hallway lighting…be prepared with either a flashlight or iPhone light if arriving after sunset. The stairs and common areas of the building are dark, and if you are unfamiliar with the area this can be a bit stressful. There are hallway light switches that can be activated, but you must know where they are and how to use them! Overall a great place and great stay!

In a great location for the beach. Walkable. Close to the ferry terminal. Very well appointed room. Comfortable bed. We paid for a beach view room and were given a room on the opposite road side without explanation. As there is no reception desk at the property we heard from them regarding the room after check out the following day. Nothing more was done.

We very much enjoyed our one night stay and loved that it was so close to the beach and the old town city centre. Would suggest that beach towels be offered (1-2 min walk). This is more like a hotel room with a mini fridge and coffee service but no kitchenette - which was fine for our one night (we had stayed at a full apartment in Split earlier in our trip).

Clean, beautiful room. Great location being right by a beach and quick walk down to the town centre. Also right by bus station and dock so don’t have to take your things to far. However, no elevator so had to lug my bags up several sets of stairs. Not being a hotel, there is no other facilities or staff readily available. However if you’re just after a clean, nice room in a good location I recommend it!

We received a warm welcome when checking in. The bed was comfortable and the location only a short walk from the port. The breakfast was also very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Overall terrific stay at Dream Luxury Rooms. This is a BNB of a few rooms inside a residential apartment building not a hotel, which unclear to me when I booked, but the self-check-in worked ok, even though I arrived very late 11pm on a weekday. The check-in instructions were emailed to me the day prior/day of, so it’s important to have internet access on your cell phone in Croatia. It’s a 3 floor walk-up so make not of this. Also if arriving late at night there’s a light switch to the right inside of the main door which wasn’t apparent to me so I walked up 3 flights in the dark with my cell phone as a flashlight. The apartment and rooms appeared quite secure, modern and comfortable. There were clean towels, shower products, a chair and desk w/an electric carafe for bowling water and a couple mugs, a lavazza espresso machine. The closet had a small safe (maybe large enough to fit an iPad), a foldable luggage rack. The bed and pillows were comfortable and clean, the flatscreen TV was quite large (50” or so), with access to Netflix. There was in-room AC though I didn’t use this. Note: you have to turn on the water heater b4 using the shower. The only a few things if I’d bring nit-picky is 1) the towel rack in the shower is quite high, as a 5’4” person I had to stand on my tiptoes to reach it. 2) the only bathroom hook is behind the door and so not enough space to hang clothes and towel for drying hands, 3) no mat for bathroom so walking out of shower the floor gets pretty wet.

The property is really modern compared to other hotels in the castle. We really appreciate the owner letting us have an early check in And not having to deal with our luggage Very clean and comfortable Instructions are very easy and clear to access the room. Elevator would be nice but once you get to the room is all worth it. The view is incredible.

Great stay in Split!!! Pros: updated units even when it’s loud outside can’t really hear it due to good solid windows! The view facing the beach was incredible and honestly having the beach right downstairs was unbeatable. Loved the location super walkable. Cons: the lack of elevators and stairs to the Third floor is pretty crazy if you have luggage. Only two sets of towels, would have been nice to have a spare esp for long stays.
