I had to find a place to stay last minute for one night, and the Hotel Salem was able to accommodate me and check me in early. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The bed was also super comfy! Overall, it was a great experience, and even though I did not anticipate having to stay somewhere overnight, I'm glad I picked the Hotel Salem!

We had a micro king room. This room had plenty of amenities for a small room. The hotel is situated in the heart of Salem. There are great views of the city at the hotels roof bar. Lots of cool places to check out around the Hotel.

Great hotel, great amenties, love the location in the city. Perfect for walking. But the toilet in the double queen room's toilet was difficult for wide-set hips. The only downside to the trip was having to use the bathroom with our knees together, squeezing between the wall and the sink.

We enjoyed our stay at The Hotel Salem! The location was amazing, and we loved the cool, modern vibe of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and enthusiastic and the rooftop bar was a good place to unwind after a long day of touring. If you are sensitive to noise you should ask for a room that is quiet, because there was a good bit of noise from the rooftop and the street, and we were offered a noise machine to help.

Staff was amazingly helpful, hotel is so very convenient to shopping and touristy areas in Salem, and the roof top restaurant is a beautiful view and experience.

Location was neat, but you had to walk a short distance from garage to hotel with luggage. I would not choose a micro king room again. It was ridiculously small and the glass barn door bathroom door gave a perfect view of whomever was sitting on the toilet.

Spoke with someone at the front desk and asked about closing times for the bar and restaurants. They told us it didnt close until 11. We arrive at 850 to find everything was closed. The doors to the toilet do not lock but rather a hook that is extremely hard to latch... the doors are all sliding barn doors and the one leading to the shower is on a slope so it will not stay open and slams shut. We were able to dine at the roof one time which we had waited forever until eventually asking for our check and were met with rude looks and short attitude from staff. You also hear EVERYTHING. They also have no parking. We did have to carry everything from the car in the parking garage which is not far but something to consider when booking. We were between multiple hotels and we wish we had chosen the other. We decided to stay here due to the rooftop bar only to be disappointed and had to doordash. Dont think i wouod stay here again after that... especially since i clarified with staff prior.

It was a bit spartan, get your water in the hallway with a cup, no amenities in the room. For this price, I was surprised. Staff was friendly and accommodating. My review is purely on the accommodations.

Hotel Salem was an absolute pleasure to stay at. Located on Essex St which is centrally located within the heart of Salem. We enjoyed the convenience of the close proximity to the attractions, shops and many restaurants abound! The staff is super friendly and the room was impeccably clean! We will definitely be booking another stay in the near future!

Amazing staff that were more than friendly and helpful!!. In addition to the kindness and hospitality shown, the hotel is right in the middle of Essex which made the town super easy to navigate. Definitely recommend it!

We were offered an upgrade which I accepted, expecting a larger room. We received a ground floor room with a tiny “Loft Space.” It faced an alley with two tiny windows. I would not recommend this room to anyone. I was willing to return to a regular room and forfeit the fee for the upgrade, but I was told they were sold out.

First of all the parking was far away from the hotel and after traveling the last thing you want to do is try and find your hotel... they dont even comp you for the parking. 2nd no coffee or tea or anything in your room. The restaurant down stairs was never open even for breakfast. The roof top was just to hot so that was a no go but not sure if they even swrved breakfast. The 2 ladies at the front were some what new and really were no help what so ever.. they did try and things did work out but still a manager should have done a much better job at training thats for sure.

Super friendly staff. No complaints. High celings made the room feel bigger. Separate toilet which was nice except you have to walk across the room to wash your hands after using the toilet.
