Very friendly staff, BUT...Dated hotel. Carpets torn and rolled in multiple places in the hallway, and felt dirty. Room service no longer coming into rooms due to Covid, so people left food trash in the hallways that stayed for quite a while.
Coffee options were terrible. "Room service" won't actually bring coffee to the room. Generic single serve coffee in the room produced only light brown water. At peak time, coffee shop had a line that probably took 30+ minutes (I gave up after 20 minutes of waiting and barely moving because one person was taking orders, making drinks, heating food, etc.)
Close to the convention center, but further away from restaurants than a lot of other hotel options. If I was in SLC again, I'd look for a different hotel.
