Reviews are unfair here. This is a very cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. The good: Excellent private beach in front, lovely sunloungers free to use and the beach is truly stunning. The hotel is very clean - you can smell the cleanliness in the sheets and everything is polished well. Breakfast is basic but functional. I put it in the "good" because I'm not expecting anything amazing for such a cheap hotel. The bad: Everything in my room was broken, broken shelves, broken safe, broken hair dryer, broken tap (worked but they had sellotaped it from falling apart), broken shower head (the shower still worked but couldn't adjust height). The building needs a desperate renovation. Some staff seem very uninterested. No pool. Bed too soft so a bit uncomfortable. All in all I can't complain. Considering this was the cheapest beach hotel I could find in all of Europe during bank holiday when everything is so expensive... It did the job and at least everything was clean.

There was no toilet paper, no toilet seat, not tissues, no paper or plastic cups. I got one towel. The bed springs made sleeping uncomfortable. Heat/AC worked well and the balcony was nice.

This is a nice hotel, one block from the lungomare well kept and run by some great folks. The room was impeccably clean with a very nice balcony with views of the sea. The bed was good but had poly sheets.

Rooms clean but old. Mattresses were sinking. No privacy you can ear people talk next door. Staff no smile, no hello not very welcoming. You walk in and they keep their head down. As for the breakfast, coffee horrible, pastries were dried and old from a few days. Bathroom a person barely fits in. The floor in the elevator feels as if you’re gonna go through also sinking in. I don’t recommend.

It’s a nice hotel for the price. But in my case, the washroom wasn’t clean. The bed and pillows need more comfort. And as for security, it’s basic. Anyone can get in and out of the hotel. No questions asked. Same for the elevator. But for a quick stay and be a few steps away from the beach… it’s good !

Staff was very nice and rooms were clean, breakfast was good too , beach was very close , but parking was limited and restaurants or main center was at least 10 minutes far by car

We stayed here for 3 nights. It needs a complete upgrade or demolish!! You can barely see the sign of the hotel making it difficult to locate. Parking was an issue, we were charged for “free” parking in the car park immediately outside the hotel as the main one was full (?) The air conditioning system is so old, it has a plastic bottle outside to catch the water! If this fills up, the unit starts leaking and drips fast down the wall and onto the bedside cabinet. Not realising we had to empty the plastic bottle, this dripping went on all night. But couldn’t turn the air con off because it was so hot. They do an aperitif at around 6 or 7pm for guests which is nice. Breakfast was ok, not a huge choice but inclusive. It is 2 mins from the beach and you get complimentary use of the lido. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Pescara

Our recent stay at Hotel Excelsior was extremely disappointing due to an ant infestation. On our first night, my child noticed a few ants on the floor, which we initially dismissed. However, the situation escalated on our second night when we returned to find numerous ants scurrying on the floor and even on our beds.We immediately informed the receptionist, who contacted the manager, but he was unavailable. With no other rooms available, the staff's solution was to clean the sheets, which did not address the underlying problem. The presence of ants in our beds made it impossible for us to stay, and my children were particularly disturbed by the situation. We had to find other accommodations late at night and were told to return the next morning to discuss a possible refund. The following day, the manager, Mattis, was unprepared to issue a refund but offered another room for our last night. By then, we had already paid for alternative lodging, making a return to the hotel inconvenient. Mattis advised us to request a refund through Expedia. However, when we did so, the hotel denied our request for a refund.Overall, the hotel was a disappointment. The fact that they were unable to resolve the issue or provide a refund is truly unacceptable in a service business. Cleanliness and effective management are crucial for ensuring guest satisfaction. I hope future guests have a better experience.

Staff very nice from Breakfast to cleaner to reception. The facilities are outdated and lift very slow but it is very convenient as 100 mt from the beach

Bed was very uncomfortable-bathroom had no toilet seat-you could hear everything around you.

Great location. Aircon worked great. Loved that we got a free chair and umbrella at the beach provided by the hotel.
