The car park is some way away from the house. The bedroom we had was small and the shower room was quite remarkable in that it was such a small space but was perfectly adequate.

Hillsdale was a joy and delight, in an excellent location with great off Road parking. The BnB was spotlessly clean, rooms were homely and cosy all topped off with a great breakfast! Steve and Caz were the best hosts and couldn’t do enough for you. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderfully relaxed and welcoming stay at Hillside Ambleside. Steve was incredibly friendly and had a fantastic sense of humour even after the mighty Liverpool beat his beloved West Ham 5–2. Breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented, and a perfect start to the day. We’ll definitely be staying again next time we’re in Ambleside. Up the Hammers!! ⚒️

I had a lovely stay at Hillsdale - Steve and Caz were fantastic hosts who couldn't be more helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was a great way to get the day started. It's located really close to all the local amenities, there's great walks on the doorstep and the bus stop is a couple of minutes walk if you want to go further.

Another lovely stay with Caz and Steve at Hillsdale. Can't wait to go back and enjoy another great breakfast and a very comfy bed.

Lovely coay B&B. Decor is modern but in theme with the lake district. Lots of little home comforts included. The owners are very friendly and cant do enough for you. Breakfast was very good and all cooked to order with a hige range to choose from. Rooms are lovely and its in a great location. free parking too which is a big plus point.

Hillsdale B+B is a beautiful, well located property in the heart of Ambleside. Caz and Steve are perfect hosts. The breakfast was amazing and catered for guests with specific dietary requirements We will return again!

Our stay exceeded our expectations. Steve and Caz made you feel like you were staying with close friends. The attention to detail is everywhere in thier property. Our room was immaculate. The bed was so comfy we had the best sleep in a long time. Breakfast was perfect and a good choice. We truly couldn't have asked for any more. We highly recommend staying at Hillsdale. You even have a secure car parking bay only a very short walk away. We got a parking disc and was able to park outside for an hour whilst we unloaded on arrival and loaded up again on leaving. We enjoyed our stay at Hillsdale very much. The B&B was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. Steve and Kaz were very pleasant and friendly and looked after us very well. There was a good choice for breakfast. It was convenient having free parking nearby and it was well located for all the restaurants and shops in Ambleside.
