Just the tours wich they are very expensive and to be able to get a discount yo have to go to a meeting to check who has visa, mastercard or american express to invest 4000 dollar to be able to get a little discount on tours and other trips to the hotel and flights. Service on one bar they sayd i cant serve you till im done with inventory if not you can go and complaint at the lobby. I just left and didnt buy anything because it was a bar not includded in the hotel i felt like i was begging for something but i was paying for it.. the dont care. Not help at all at the lobby with reservation, we arrived at 10 am because we had an early flight and asked for an payd early check in and nothing.. they didnt care. We payd for includded breakfast, lunch and dinner and the buffet restaurant is very limited with options, only 2 usually, we just went 1 day of 4 we stayed, we had to go to another payd restaurant wich food was very good but very expensive, just the 2 servers in that restaurant and the 2 servers at another beach bar where very polite and cared about us.. the rest didnt care. I would NEVER come back to this hotel, they offer bungalows in front of the beach and ours was very very far, and very hard to find. No signs and very confusing, they dont change sheets and towells unless you drop them on the floor. We where planning to stay longer if we wolud like the hotel but decided to go to santa marta instead. Hotel not worth at All

The property seems to be upgrading the hotel, but the food quality was disappointing. The only protein option available was pork. Additionally, the room, which was advertised as having a mini fridge, did not have one upon arrival. This made my stay particularly difficult since I couldn’t store my diabetic supplies. Unfortunately, reception was unhelpful, and the medical office refused to store my medication.

The place lacks a lot of organization in everything, they also changed the food every day I was there, they only served eggs and leftovers from the previous day for breakfast. The food was horrible. The organization of the tours was horrible. I will return in 10 years when they are more organized. A lot of money for bad service.

Worst stay of my life. From start to finish, it was a horrible experience! Was charged an extra $200.00 upon arrival, that I will be disputing with my credit card. Bad customer service, bad internet, no towels, problems when I asked for ice. All the basic amenities that most hotels have, was non existent in this place. My room was a refurbished container that was rusty and old. I would not pay more than 50.00 a night, I was charged 200.00, unbelievable. I have traveled extensively and never give negative reviews, but future travelers should be aware of the terrible conditions of this hotel.

The worst place ever. Rooms old with dirt and rust everywhere. We had towels stained and had to change several times. Forget about housekeeping unless you want to wait hours. The customer service is terrible and they treat you with attitudes all the time. Get ready to fight for ice to take to the room. Also check your bank account because they will charge you twice. The only upside is the spectacular views. Forget about internet they suggest you sit on a cactus to get signal.

This was our second visit. Our first visit in February 2022 we stayed in what was basically a re-purposed shipping container which they refer to it as rancheria. This time we stayed in a bungalow. These are newer structures with a very attractive layout. There is a sliding glass door in front with a hammock set up, there is also an open air shower which I had never experienced before. The bungalow was very comfortable and everything work well. The food there was OK to good end. They have dialed back the free alcohol. There is a Bar beside the pool where you could buy drinks. However, there were several times where the bar was in able to make a common drink that we wanted to order. At the front desk they make a big deal out of the blue towels for the pool with the little coupons. You have to bring back for them. I think that’s kind of ridiculous and they need to just relax about that. The little mini market is great. They have so many things in there that you might need. They also have food service. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. And even the vacation club sales people were not so hard-core. The tours and activities are great. Unfortunately the helicopter tours were withdrawn a few days before we arrived. since our last visit, the facility has constructed numerous new bungalows. This is great because the rancherias should be sold, and turned back into shipping containers, and they should build more bungalows where the rancherias were situated.

Run down, terrible food and poor service. The icing on the cake was coming back to the room after breakfast to find conteactoes in the room without warning. We left 1 night into a 4 night stay

The check-in was not the most straight forward. They couldn't find my reservation, I booked this hotel a month and a half in advance. Luckily I had the confirmation from Expedia printed out with me. Even so the guy at the reception was asking if that was the only documentation for the reservation. The food included in the buffet is not something I would recommend, junk. Nothing but carbs and greasy. There's a restaurant called VIP located inside the resort that you can order from the menu. The restaurant is open for VIP from 6:00AM - 3:00PM. For non-members from 3:00PM - 9:00PM. Even paying out of pocket they won't let you in unless you're a VIP. FYI to be a VIP you have to buy a time share, something that I wouldn't do. The location of the resort is in remote area away from the city, no cellular service and taxi cabs are scarce. Once inside the resort you're stuck. Internet service is limited to the reception area only. So if your room is all the way in the back you have to go to the lobby for internet access. Water goes out at night. They lose electricity during the day which is bad because is so hot and humid that you really need the air conditioning. One of the nights maintenance workers were working hammering at 2:00AM in the morning. Who does that? If you think you're going to have a relaxing time at this place think again. Glad we only stayed at this resort for 3 days, but felt like a year.

The hotel is in a desolate area half hour from Riohacha. The building in the photo is the hotel; the other rooms are bungalows, 1-story structures with sliding glass doors and outdoor shower. Unfortunately I stayed in a "ranchera" a repurposed shipping container. It was small and uncomfortable. The steps up to the unit are improvised, uneven, difficult to use. This room could hold a couple and a child in the bunk bed but you hit your head on the bottom of the bunk. The bathroom is so small that you can't enter and stand in front of the toilet; you have to move to the side and close the door; our bathroom door did not have a knob, so we had to keep it closed manually. The shower is cramped with a cockamamie 2-piece folding plastic door with a hasp. The hotel gave two small pieces of soap; no shampoo or body cream like most places with even 2 stars. The TV did not work. The walkways are mostly sand. The amenities: the pool is beautiful with a slide, waterfall and shaded alcove. The place is all inclusive. The food is very good; there is also an open bar. The convenience store is excellent, with food, drinks, clothing and sundries. Activities such as ATV rides in the desert, horseback rides and a day long tour of the surrounding area are very reasonably priced. They need to send the shipping containers back to the port and build more bungalows and rooms. When I reserved it was unclear what I was getting. Despite the negatives the staff are all friendly and accommodating.

PRO's: The hotel is located in a great spot. The available tours are excellent and the horse back riding on the shore was very romantic. The food buffet was OK. There is a Minimart on-site for your needs. The pool is nice with a great view. CON's: The septic systems are not in optimal status. The hotel strictly demands that check-in be at 3:00pm when other hotels if the room is ready they will help you out with an early check-in. Even with the hard check-in time some rooms are not ready at 3:00pm. That caused a giant funnel of people checking-in at 3:00pm with 3 buses of people plus others that arrived earlier. I checked in on a Monday, I do not know if that is a high-volume day.
