This is a Grand Dame of UK hotels and yes it seriously could do with an upgrade and surely that will come - along with a tripling in room rates So yes, it has a bit of a musty feel to it but I put that down to old world charm It’s the people though that make this hotel special and their clear love of this aging queen - service was excellent and their clear morale very high - full marks for trying and also saving this piece of history

I'm not sure that for price and location the Midland can be bettered. Right in the middle of town but not noisy,(I was on an upper floor), also the breakfast had a good choice of both hot and cold dishes. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Aso free parking. The only minus we found, was that the USB ports weren't working - we did report this.

This is a good city centre hotel not flashy, although the public areas are grand and will maintained. Rooms are clean and the facilities in the room are excellent. Breakfast is pricey.

An impressive older hotel with beautiful staircases. Helpful staff. Well located. Large standard room with spotless bathroom. Reasonably priced. Breakfast on first morning was the best. However, second morning was buffet style with the food not as hot as one would expect. A very nice stay in Bradford.

Midlands has a grandeur about it's interior, particularly the main hallway, definitely a building with character if that's what you like. In the main, it's clean, well maintained and I found the staff to be very friendly and amenable. We paid the £20 upgrade for the executive double and I felt it was well worth it. Never saw one of the normal rooms but the executive room we stayed in was abundantly spacious, largely modern furnishings and we had a comfortable stay. The hotel has limited onsite parking through an automatic barrier which has handy being in the middle of Bradford. If your visiting Bradford, would recommend a stay here

One night business stay. Comfortable room albeit a little dated and shabby. The hotel retains many of its original architectural features whish is great to see. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok but would have been nice to have fresh pastries rather than defrosted ones.

My third stay here recently and this was the best one of the lot, helped by the Executive room I had booked. This room had been updated, it was spacious and clean. Smart TV in the room, spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. And wifi speedy enough to stream stuff on the TV. If all my stays could be like this one, I would book time and time again.

All the staff were really friendly and helpful. They ensured that we had a room near the lift and with a walk in shower as we requested. Our room was clean and spacious and very quiet. There was plenty of choice at the buffet breakfast. The hotel is in a lovely Victorian building and very convenient for exploring Bradford city centre.

Breakfast good but needs some attention (store wheat and white bread). Room really needs new bed and housekeeping missed bathroom supplies on limited visit.

Great location for city centre. A grand old-style hotel full of architectural quirks.

My second visit was not a patch on the first. Different room and floor. This room was very tired. The TV was a lot smaller and the wifi was not good or fast enough to stream anything so I had to tether. I was above a road this time as well, which meant road and city centre noise. Couple with the youths (non guests by the look of it) marauding around the corridors late in the evening, this stay felt dirty and unsafe! It's still a good price and the EV charging is a huge draw, but I would like to actually feel safe and clean in my room. I had a look in the morning and cannot see any CCTV cameras on the stairways or hotel corridors, so I guess they could go unnoticed.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was a nice size. Breakfast was OK, but not worth the money - you'd be better off spending your money in one of the local cafes (there are lots nearby). I did like the additional fan in the room - I thought that this was a nice touch as the room did get quite warm, even with the radiator turned down.

TV was unplugged. Maintenance didn't turn up until we complained many hours later. Fridge stunk and was dirty, so did not use. Room needed updating and general maintenance. They messed up our dinner order and brought the starters with the mains. Breakfast was good. Great position in the city though.

It is an historic old building so the rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and have decent amentities - all I needed for an overnight stop. The location is good, the parking is plentiful. The lobby is an amazing looking space. The rooms are a little dated, but they are clean, the bed is comfy and the large TV has streaming options. The bathroom was clean and the shower had really good pressure. My new go to whilst in Bradford.
