Staff were very friendly and welcoming

I really love this resort and I highly recommend it for anyone in USA hoping to vacation in Zanzibar Tanzania. I am from Houston, Texas and I have made VOI my vacation spot in Tanzania. This is my second time taking my fiance to this resort and I just love the hospitality you get once you step a foot into this resort. The manager was very awesome and the staffs are probably the best people you can ever meet in the world especial Massai Name Daniel whom I call my friend and Malik at the front desk whom I also consider as friend after meeting them twice in two years.. The entire staff are just wonderful. Food and drinks are great and the environment is very clean. The bar tenders are the best, The entertainment group were wonderful. You can not beat this all inclusive resort cos is a place you want to go back after visiting once. I just wanna say thanks to the Entire staffs and management for always making us feel special whenever we visit VOI. And I will forever cherish the treatment we get whenever we visit VOI. Thanks and God Bless each and everyone of you for all you do for all the visitors..My only regret is I did not get the chance to tip all the wonderful Chelfs in the cafeteria for all the good food the prepared for us. this is a nice property with good staff but if you are not italian,,,this is not the place to visit,,they cater to the itailian people exclusively,,,very bad buisness practice

I am from Houston,Texas and This was my first time vacationing in Zanzibar. I will say I got the best hospitality at VOI Kiwengwa than any other places I have been to outside America. The resort was awesome, the management was very helpful and listen to your concerns, OMG the staff are the best. The food and drinks was great. I highly recommend this resort to anyone that need a great vacation spot in Zanzibar Tanzania. I am surely taking my wife back to this resort every year. Is now my number one vacation spot in Africa. Thank you VOI Kiwengwa for the great hospitality especially Daniel and all the guys at the bar. You guys made my vacation the best

Lovely stay, friendly staff, great beach, Limited options for vegetarian dining, and limited shaded areas around the pool.

I had a wonderful stay and felt very safe, welcomed and taken care of by staff and management. The property is beautiful with authentic Tanzania architecture, intricate craftsmanship details and exotic decor while providing all the modern amenities and fun of a great all-inclusive resort / Italian Club. Plenty of bottled drinking water, nice bar drinks and wonderful food at the main restaurant. The property is gorgeous with meticulously maintained tropical gardens leading to the wonderful huge pool and exotic beach with plenty of comfortable loungers. The rooms are beautifully decorated and reflect authentic interior while having everything one needs for rest and relaxation. Special thanks to Philippo in management for accommodating my late arrival and to Omar for the great sign off. Wonderful live music by very talented Alessio performing Italian and English hits nightly. The entertainment team was so hard working around the clock and very attentive. Great shows! Nice group of guests at the resorts from different countries, great vibes and so much fun! Hope to be back! Thank you all!

It was on the beach. Lots of sun loungers and staff to help move them when required. Mostly geared up for Italian visitors as it is an Italian hotel. Would be nice to have had access to local tv programmes to give authentic feeling.

Amazing beach. Great staff (locals and Italians). Comfort rooms. Bad food, bad drinks. Too noisy with loud animations (all-inclusive style). If food and drinks significantly improve, this can get to a 9/10.

Good value for money

We had a really good stay at VOI. The beach was wonderful, although the tide does go out for a few hours around noon. The managers were helpful- they booked our excursions and taxis with minimal effort from us. The room was nice and clean and enough space for three people. It is a very Italian heavy populace- the signs in the dining room are primarily in Italian. But it is definitely a great all inclusive option with a great beach!

Ho trascorso una settimana fantastica al Voi kiwengwa resort in compagnia dei miei amici. Resort fantastico, location top, staff eccezionale, pulizia eccellente per non menzionare il cibo delizioso e gli aperitivi in spiaggia o garden ogni giorno. F&B manager (Roberto) sempre presente, attento ai dettagli affinché gli standard di qualità e professionalità fossero mantenuti sempre alti. Animazione altrettanto divertente, un grazie in particolare alla nostra Claudia che con la sua energia e simpatia ha conquistato i nostri cuori ed i nostri sorrisi. Organization and Entertainment Is great, one of the best. Italian and French though, but lots of fun

The VOI is a must visit place , well organised and fun place to be. The staff are outstanding and wonderful.

The pool and beach are amazing. The "beach boys" are annoying. The resort itself is big and nice. The food was just OK, but there was a large selection at the buffet. A good value for the money paid.

Everything perfect. Best resort I have been so far

Rooms are not very clean, insects on the floors, towels are smelly, entertainment only for Italians speaking guests , sitting area in the lounge not comfortable, dinning room is very casual , food covers are not tight to prevent insects in the dining room , public bathroom not clean, quality of food is good and good varieties, lighting in the main dining room is uninviting, beach is nice and clean , lack of water bottles

The hotel itself is good one on the budget. The food is good and people are friendly. The only problem for us : full of italien. The entertainment,service all in italien. So we have feeling that isolated from the culture and atmosphere italien.
