Friendly staff, great amenities, close to trains and mall

Clean room with the minimum necessary for a stay before taking a plane or right after arriving. Not recommended for long stays. Room to tight, but for just a few hours is more than ok.

Amazing location, ideal for a short stay to be close to the airport. Wonderful shopping next door and amusement park, supermarket at a walking distance. Just 15 minutes away from the airport.

Make sure you book Ibis not ibis budget.The description in Expedia is not correct. IBIS is normal hotel IBIS budget is like a very cheap motel. Very small rooms. When I booked through Expedia I did not know there are two different tier of hotel rooms in the same structure. I would not have booked Ibis Budget knowing it is the worst experience I ever had getting a hotel. However it is located in the safe shopping mall. It is located North part of Rio de Janeiro thus everyone recommended not to go beyond the premise of the hotel and shopping mall.

Staff was very friendly and the room was good for an afternoon rest & shower before the next flight. No thrills, just the basics. It was clean, and the air conditioner made all the difference for a long nap.

AC and amenities worked, room was tidy, shower was hot, staff was helpful and let us extend out check out by an hour, breakfast was good and complete

It was so convenient. Super chill. Room was small but it was just for a night. I was able to extend my departure for 6pm which took the stress of my trip. Staff were really accommodating and friendly. Felt safe specially when traveling alone even if it was just for an overnight stay. Definitely a relaxing experience and a recommended option. 10/10 would come back.

I like that train station is 6 minutes away. Staff was definitely not helpful. Room was very small and humid, smelled very bad. I had questions about the location, requested a map, staff didn't help at all. No one speaks English or Spanish. They didn’t even try helping to communicate.

The fact that the room was tiny would have been ok, even the regular shower head installed like a rain one that was spraying everywhere with no spece to adjust the water without getting a cold one. But, no dryer, really? How much space or increase in "budget" would have been taking? Also, my reservation was clearly for 3 persons but the room assigned was made for 2. The bunk bed had no pillow or blankets or at least provided as part of the check in and not for you to discover whe you go to bed to sleep. Or is that part of the "budget" experience too? The only good thing is that the staff is very nice and the shopping mall and restaurants were amazing or I would have gave a 1 star...

We booked a budget room and it was the most basic hotel room I have stayed in to date. Room was tiny, but fine for our purpose. Everything was clean except the shower which had dirty grout. Only 2 little bars of soap given. No shampoo. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast had scrambled eggs, sausage, fruits, cereals, yogurt, and a lot of breads and pastries, which we could not try due to dietary sensitivities. There’s a mall right across the hotel, but otherwise, nothing else you can walk to. We stayed here just to attend Taylor swift concert. Will likely stay in the more accessible for tours it’s part of town the next time.
