Our first room we were assigned to was nothing like the rooms advertised. On the 4th floor. Dated and not overly clean. We requested to be moved which they did with no issue thankfully. Food was ok, it’s nice to have so many a la cart options to choose from. The trolley’s are great to help you get to and from places, especially the beach. People reserving chairs as early as 4am is a real issue that I wish was addressed. Entertainment was good. I prefer the beach over the pool. Overall it was a good trip, I would return again but I would probably book Amber simply for the proximity to the beach,

We had an excellent time at the Bahia Principe in Punta Cana. We went away for our honeymoon and we stayed at the grand aquamarine. Once we got there we had an option to upgrade to a more luxury resort. We decided to upgrade to the Esmeralda. We were very happy with our decision. The rooms are very clean. The property is immaculate and the service is outstanding. Some things to note our pre-check in was a little difficult to manage due to their website once you get to the property go into the lobby and after you check in immediately make your dinner reservations at one of the kiosks I recommend the Dominican restaurant, meat, steakhouse, and Olivio Mediterranean, and the fish market. In the morning wake up early and put your towels out at the beach or pool so you have a spot. hold onto your towels throughout the week so you can repeat this process every morning. The buffets were delicious and if you stay at an upgraded, you are able to get room service. I would bring an Amazon stick so you can watch more options of television like Netflix or Hulu. bring a yeti so you can fill up your drinks at the bar and I would definitely come with singles for tipping. I would definitely come back here. My husband and I absolutely loved our vacation. We can’t wait to come back soon. I would give our experience a 10.

Pools were nice

The room, view and staff was great but the language barrier is what really dampened everything. Almost no one understood me or understood what I needed. Very little to none understood me and almost everyone took a guess and was wrong. Most likely won't return but recommend everyone to learn Spanish before going off you decide to visit. The Maiko restaurant was the best of all of them but the buffet food was a little tasteless (for me). I don't eat pork so for someone who does it may be heaven for them. Drinks were amazing, probably only thing that saved this trip was that and the 9 in 1 day excursion I did. I got a good deal for it through the resort but it's really 8 in one day not 9. The Garden Grill "Steakhouse" menu looked promising but ended up being a disappointment. What i couldn't understand is if you are a restaurant in an all inclusive resort why is the steak at the steakhouse extra!? I also was not fond on the service on the night I visited. I was sitting there for almost 20 minutes before I even got water and another 20 before I got bread. I already had 3 glasses of water at that point! And the first restaurant we visited called the El Olivo, that was the first place we ate at after the buffet and impression they gave there lasted throughout the entire stay. We were ordering drinks and they didn't understand me and brought over the wrong drinks. When we started to order the food we were pointing to the menu and using a translator and they still couldn't understand

The staff was amazing.

Property is very good.But they will not give you a ride if you belongs to different resort even in rainy day.

I loved all of the amenities provided by Bahia Principe Grand Aquamarine. I was pleased with the quality and variety of dining options as well as the transportation to and from the beach. My bedroom suite was very clean, quiet and comfortable. I especially loved the swimming pool.

We loved the resort, the people and the food. However we had a lot of fly bites despite applying the recommended bug spray. Actually way too many bites that we had to limited our night time activity. Also we were in building 84 and our back deck was overlooking a warehouse which was noisy in the nighttime. Employees yelling and trucks moving and tooting horns. But overall we enjoyed our vacation - thanks very much. Hats off to Juan at the pool bar. Loved seeing his smile and positive attitude everyday

El hotel muy bonito nos encantó lo unico que si es muy grande hay que caminar bastante para llegar a la playa esperar por los carritos que te transportan los restaurantes muy buenos en general todo nos gusto los chicos del bar que esta en el lobby trabajando en la noche muy divertidos y atentos los chicos de entrenamiento también en general todos los empleados son muy amables solo la persona que nos atendio a nuestra llegada no nos dio la suficiente información del resort y hubo un empleado de los que manejan los carritos negros que nos hizo sentir incómodo con unos comentarios fuera de lugar diciéndonos que por que nosotros no éramos miembros del resort si se veia que teníamos dinero pero en general todo bien no la pasamos super lo recomiendo

If there was a downside it was the poolside. You have to get up very early like 4 am and still good luck getting a cabana. You have to keep your towel from the night before even though it says not to reserve spaces like this. Even that early is still hard to get a shade spot with an umbrella. If you are late then you are screwed. And I mean like 6-7 am is late. Otherwise the resort is great and we had a blast. Luis at the swim up makes an excellent frozen mojito with Bacardi gold.

The multiple resorts on one property made for so many food and bar options- you never needed to look far for food or drink

Extremely difficult to navigate. The app is not user friendly. Staff is not friendly. Food and area are decent.

Overall, everything was great! Employees at the main desk were helpful and spoke English. Most of the staff were very pleasant and helpful especially in the dining area of the buffet restaurant. The food here was exceptional offering a variety of different dishes daily as was the Japanese restaurant. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area as well as the beach. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends! 😎

The resort was friendly, spacious and so much fun. We were well treated by all of the staff. The food was wonderful and we had so many options. The roomwas spacious and clean. The beach access was great. The drink service and options were fabulous. The only suggestions we have are improved refrigerator in room. Ours did not cool, so our water and soda were warm. We also think a snack option in the room would be nice. Something small to fend off the late night munchies. Other than that, this place is great.
