Overall the stay on the hotel was good. Tagline on the description of the hotel is misleading. That partial ocean is null. This was disappointing since we were looking forward a beautiful view. Our view was majority the hotel across the street with the park cars. Room was nice but smell funky. You can see the mildew/mold on the curtains. The shower beautiful but be careful going into the tub you need a step stool if you are short. Food is not all that. We were disappointed in the buffet. We actually went off the hotel property to have breakfast and coffee. Their Mexican restaurant was good. Staff really friendly.

This is my 6th stay here. Property is a little dated but always clean. Staff is awesome and couldn’t do enough for us. Will be back soon !!

Would not stay here again . The hotel seemed dated and dirty . My room did not have shampoo and the shower did not drain water , called maintenance and they did nothing . Food was ok definitely not 5star rated food .

Did get the room that was paid for, toilet didn’t flush properly, shower didn’t drain probably, room was dirty with stains and dirt

It was our first time in Aruba. Aruba is one happy island. It is beautiful. We loved our stay. But the hotel is a little bit out dated service isn’t that great. We didnt use the dinner options in hotel as we opted to go out for dinner. Breakfast and lunch were good buffet was nice and clean there were vegetarian options

I will start by saying I am not new to traveling and staying on resorts. I often opt to all inclusive resorts due to not wanting to have to worry about the Convenience of food and drinks near by. We chose barcelo due to its high rating and we expected to be treated kindly as we booked to enjoy our engagement. Barcelo has to be the WORSE resort i have stayed at. From the beginning of our stay, we were treated rudely by staff and felt very unwelcome. There was no hospitality whatsoever. We booked as a group and had two rooms, both rooms were dirty and were not ready when we arrived. We booked for king size beds and we were told all we could be given were double rooms and have the beds pushed together. We also booked for an ocean view and were not given that as well. When we went to the buffet, we were given the worse service i could have possibly experienced. Barcelo has put a poor taste of Aruba in our mouths unfortunately. The food was horrible at the restaurants and the buffet areas. We also felt as if we were being racially discriminated against as we were one of the only black groups during our stay. Staff would walk past us as if we were not there and greet/ assist other guests who did not look like us even when we had been waiting for assistance longer than them. If a lower rating could be given for this resort, I would rate this resort 0/10.

Location - Right near the town and great restaurants! Although the location is great for activities, the town was VERY loud at night. We heard music blasting until 3am every day Food - Breakfast was the only meal we enjoyed. We tried the seafood restaurant for dinner one night and ended up getting pizza in town Staff - FANTASTIC. Cleanliness - Very impressed with how clean it was

All inclusive average Pool too crowded gets dirty fast Pool area too noisey. Have to be out to beach area at 0530 to get palapa or palm tree coverage.

The entertainment was awful Not enough chairs at pool or umbrella at the oceans

The rooms probably need some updating.

It’s extremely outdated hotel . Need major renovation . Not so clean

Had a great time! Not too happy with the chair and hut situations!! People grabbing chairs and shelter at 4:00am, rediculous!! No chairs at the pool either!!
