The room and the bed were ok. However, the shower changed temperature by itself, its door did not close, making the floor a bit wet and the toilet did not work properly. On top of that the staff was not very friendly, leaning to rude. We only stayed one night, and wouldn't stay again. Its a good option if you need something close to the train station other than that, nothing special.

This new Axel is beautiful. From my initial greeting by a very hospitable Racquel, to the gorgeous room. Everything is spotlessly clean, obviously it’s new but the bed was comfortable and a gorgeous shower. My only tiny negative is that the spa pool could have been warmer, but the hotel was superb value for money and a fifteen minute walk from The Conch and incredible food options of the Old Town. I would recommend it highly

It was amazing! The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and knowledgeable! The room was spacious. I would definitely stay there again!

Very modern and hip. Great service and vibe. Walkable to everywhere you want to go. We stayed in winter and did not use the pool. If you are looking for a view of the sea, this is the only drawback.

Everything is fine but the only complains is the room is uncomfortable even when it’s upgraded.

Modern hotel, great amenities, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast, enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room. Very helpful staff, easy walking to old town and shopping. Very convenient supermarket next to hotel

Our stay in Axel Hotel San Sebastián was great! The hotel is located in a quiet area closeby to many cafes and shops and at short walking distance to the beach. The hotel's premises were clean and modern, and we had a spacious and comfortable room. We loved the spa access included during our stay, which was an amazing added value to our holidays. We would definitley repeat!

Nice relaxed and relatively sophisticated place. Was concerned could be a bit seedy but quite the opposite. Nice breakfast. Parking on site for 25 euros a night if space available. Close to centre and nice spa area free to use. We also liked the room layout

Place was very clean and reception was speedy. The rooms were very awkward to stay in for two days with large suitcases. No room at all to hang your clothes other than right over top the only area you could set up any kind of toiletries and was also purposed with bar snacks that were, all available for a premium charge. No room to place any toiletries at all. Place looks nice in pictures. Wouldn’t be our choice in the future. Parking garage available for a charge, very tight spaces.

Great location.

The property inside was clean and nice. The room was an odd shape and there wasn't much space in the bathroom to keep your toiletries. There wasn't a closet and the hangers overhung the two small drawers and fridge. Just an odd configuration and not very convenient.

Great breakfast and good position to explore the city from.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff where very friendly and accommodating. The spa was great to use and the breakfasts was very enjoyable each morning.

We had a fabulous three nights at the Axel hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms quiet and clean, can walk everywhere and they have a great gym downstairs for rainy days :). We would stay again 😊

Staff was friendly and the decor and facilities looked to be in good shape. Unfortunately, our room had a foul smell coming from the shower (which also was prone to flooding). We had arrived too late in the evening and left the following morning, so only told the staff about it when checking out, so don't know if/how this has been resolved.

Would rather stay beach side or in old town

The facilities are very nice and most staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are well kept. I enjoyed my stay. The rooftop is very nice but the pool is not for swimming and is unheated. If you are looking for a pool to get your laps in then you will be unhappy. But if you just need to chill and soak, it is perfect and often there is a self-srrve sparkling wine bottle on deck. The gym and sauna facilities are noce. You have long (15-20) min walks to old town or Gros but minutes from a nice river walk and the bridges. Parking is limited so call try to book early and call the night before. If parking is full, there is a parking lot around the corner that you can book with the Telpark app and the staff can help you with that. The parking lot is a two minute walk but a 10 to 15 min drive in traffic.
