This was our 10th visit to Ocean El Faro. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are clean and spacious. All the staff are friendly and hard-working and the food is great. Coming back to this resort feels like home.

This was a wonderful vacation, everything we had a problem with was take care of quickly. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Some of the staff were a little rude, one in particular while in line for a burger snapped on us for getting in line vs having him take our order. Mind you, the sign said “to go orders only” we were planning to take burgers back to the room so we thought we were in the right line/place. Felt very uncomfortable, we ended up just putting our plates back and walking out the line. Won’t be back there again

Entitle to an upgrade i never recieved it, Hotel lacks of consistent music and entertainment, when they do have music is pretty good. If your looking for a quiet hotel with some entertainment this is your hotel. If your more into party vibe with consistent fun they are other options out there

The property was ok. The rooms were dated. The elevated repeatedly broke down and we were on the top floor. The staff were extremely kind. The food was average. The family side was way more entertaining than the adult side. There were floats lying around the grounds giving it an unkept vibe. Overall 6/10.

We really enjoyed the rooftop patio, amazing having two bathrooms and 2 soaker tubs! Jose Jimenez was an amazing butler! He booked all of our reservations and went above and beyond to make my wife and I very comfortable. To improve on, eliminating people bringing their own music to the pool, having 3 different speakers playing music is annoying.

The restort was overall “okay”. The property needs fixing and updates. The floor is uneven and there are plumbing issues - the water would leak from the shower out to the bedroom. The toilet leaks as well. There was a cockroach the last day during the day. Dining options were a bit limited. Staff did not seem very knowledgeable about the property, we were told the restaurants were open daily but that was not the case. Some were closed two days. When we asked where to get the beach towels and tubes for the lazy river we were told they had to be purchased which was not the case, they only had to be checked out. It was evident that house keeping did not fully clean as the stand up shower was dirty.

Pros: property, pools & beach views were gorgeous. Restaurants nice aesthetically wise. Gym was very clean. The rooms were aesthetically pleasing. You get a butler, which Jose was ours and he was as helpful as he could be! The bartender daurin by the beach was amazing! Very upbeat and fun. Drinks were good!!! Cons: the restaurants and food were mediocre. the food made us very very ill, the whole trip. our room had black mold growing from the ac unit. told house keeping and nothing was done about it. clothes now real of mold. There was zero privacy. Staff would just come into the rooms unannounced. Even with the do not disturb sign up. even if asked to leave they still stayed to do their “job”. Very very uncomfortable. Made sleeping very uncomfortable seeing as they had keys for our rooms & would just come in whenever. 6/10 for views

Great food and entertainment. Layout is spacious and green. Lots of walking to different amenities but grounds were well kept. Areas of the rooms, buildings and kids water park need maintenance and renovations.

Ocean el Faro el beso is the best ever. Hospitality is top notch. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel special. The new el beso lobby is beautiful. Very impressed by this resort and the staff.

I loved this resort! I've stayed at many all inclusive resorts and this is by far my favorite one. From the clean beautiful rooms to the hospitality of the kind staff. Whatever you needed they would go above and beyond to attend. Food was FANTASTIC for an all inclusive with multiple restaurants and a buffet all on site. Hotel was HUGE, i loved how the adults only was away from the family side but also close enough to be able to attend any activities you're interested in. Overall I would rate this place a 10/10 and would definitely recommend others to stay here!

Before I book any resort, I read the reviews on here and reseach with the understading that there are always going to be differences in opinions and preferences. That being said, we do not recommend this resort. Here are our honest thoughts about the resort. We stayed at the all-adult side, El Beso. Good-The room was spacious. The beach and lagoon were beautiful. The pools and lazy river are nice. Needs Improvement-The food was below average. Do not have the steak at the steak house restaurant. Very disappointing. The best restaurants were the Italian and Mexican, but nothing was better than average. Poor-Overall, the service was poor. I think we had good service about 2 times the entire trip, Generally, we felt the staff was not hospitable and were indifferent towards guests. For example, we went to lunch one day and asked 3 times if we could order. After an hour of not receiving our food, we walked out. Looking around the restaurant, a lot of people looked upset. It seemed very disorganized, and the employees did not know how to multi-task. There were only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant, and other employees were standing around doing nothing. The first time we went to get towels, (on the day we arrived) the employee asked us to wait, and he used Google Translate on his phone. He then proceeded to tell us he was sick and hungry, and asked for money for food. This has NEVER happened to us before in the over 15 times we have stayed at an all-inclusive.

We had a great time at El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro. Our VIP perks through Expedia made a big difference. The room was beautiful, clean, and spacious, with a nice pool view. Huge thanks to our butler Jose Miguel—he was amazing and took care of everything for us. The pools were great and never too crowded. The beach was nice, but the sunbeds were in terrible condition—worn out and uncomfortable, definitely the biggest letdown. The buffet was excellent, with lots of variety and fresh options. À la carte restaurants were hit or miss: the Steakhouse and Mexican were disappointing, but Pez Dama was outstanding—the octopus and red snapper were incredible. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would return, especially if the beach loungers get an upgrade.

Wow!! This is the nicest all inclusive resort I’ve ever stayed at. Ignore any lack lustre reviews I absolutely recommend this place and plan on returning in the future! As someone who’s been to my fair share of all inclusive resorts this by far is one of the nicest! I did a lot of review reading before this trip and ended up choosing this resort. Absolutely no regrets! Not only is it beautiful, there is so much to do, it’s very clean, the staff are wonderful, and the food is great! My go to spot was a small cove on the side of the beach where the ocean was a lot calmer.

I recently stayed at El Beso Adults Only, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. Our housekeeper did an outstanding job—she cleaned our room twice a day and always made sure the mini fridge was perfectly stocked. A special shoutout to our concierge/butler, Jose Miguel. He went above and beyond to make our trip seamless and enjoyable. He reserved all the à la carte restaurants for us in advance and was always available to help with anything we needed. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. The buffet restaurant was excellent—the steaks in particular were delicious, and the variety and quality of the other dishes were impressive as well. We also really enjoyed the lazy river. We had brought our own floaties , but ended up using ones left behind by others, which was super convenient. The only downside to our trip was the pushy approach regarding the membership program. We were pulled into a long, 3-hour presentation on our first day, which was not how we wanted to start our vacation. It felt a bit too aggressive and off-putting. That said, despite this one issue, I would absolutely return for another vacation. The service, amenities, and overall atmosphere made it a truly memorable stay!

The hotel itself was decent clean and nicely located, but I wouldn’t say it exceeded my expectations. There were some small inconveniences during the stay that made it feel more average than luxurious. However, I have to give special praise to the butler assigned to us. Jose Miguel was truly exceptional professional, attentive, and always one step ahead of our needs. From making thoughtful recommendations to going out of his way to personalize our experience, his service was top-tier. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated and genuinely kind in the hospitality industry. If the rest of the hotel matched the butler’s level of service, it would’ve been a 5-star experience without a doubt.
