This place needs renovation. Looks much better on the pictures. Shower needs to be fixed. Water pressure is very weak.

Our stay in this hotel is a good experience. the service is excellent. the condition of the hotel is good we have some little issues but they were urgent to fix it. joseph one of the server there was very kind and accomodating, always making sure were taken care off. the owner also check on us everyday. i would recommend this hotel for a great experience in Kilimanjaro. plus factor you can see the view of mt Kilimanjaro.

I really enjoyed my stay. This is a discount B&B with good service and spacious rooms. If you haven't been to Moshi yet, this hotel is slightly out of the town center. I would urge you to avoid the town center - it is really noisy and the air isn't good. On hot Tanzanian days, these things matter. The Secret Garden is adjacent to an open field and it is quiet. Also, the owner Daudi is an interesting person - ask him to tell you the story of this property - it's quite interesting!

The property attracts an eclectic grouping of travelers who are warm and friendly. The property also has a lovely first-floor verandah with a bar and lounge that is shaded by trees and a great place to meet other travelers. Lovely views of Mt Kilimanjaro from the verandah.

I enjoyed the staff service at this pleasant hotel near the center of Moshi. This is a very nice small hotel with a mixture of experienced tourists and backpackers. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, so I strongly recommend adding the board aspect of your reservation.

It was very cozy place, feels like you're staying with a friendly family but at the same time the rooms look like standard hotel rooms with nice bathrooms!!

Daudi and his staff are doing their very best despite lack of tourists due to travel restrictions in other countries. Rooms are more than adequate with comfortable beds, fans, hot water shower etc. Bfast is fine. Other meals are good too but please expect to wait an hour as everything is cooked to order.

Rooms were tiny. Couldn’t swing a cat. Staff were friendly but not helpful. No juice for breakfast as advertised and no milk on the first day. Milk took 1 hr the next day. Tour prices organised through hotel were ridiculously priced but that was common for all ‘mzunga’ just organised local bus/tuk tuk for 1/3 of price. Other people we met were also disappointed. Wifi doesn’t work Bathroom shower over toilet , overflowed into room. Bathroom door handle fell off in front of staff and he just shrugged. Holes and cracks in toilet seat. overall very disappointing, didn’t expect much but was thoroughly let down

Had a lovely relaxing 6 night stay after trek up the mountain. Rustic and quirky hotel in a quiet location, a short ride to the town centre. Nice views of Kilimanjaro Staff were fantastic and very welcoming. Double room basic but very comfortable. Lovely roof top restaurant and a wonderful garden to relax in. Superb restaurant food and a great breakfast. All at good prices. Good choice of day trips, again at reasonable prices. Had a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

All of the staff were pretty friendly. I had some concerns after I left the place, and contacted them a several times about it, but they’d always try to be helpful.

There were some sewer issues close to my room, and the pipes really stank during the time I was there. The food in the restaurant is delicious but extremely slow. You should plan to order at least 1 hour before you want to eat. The staff is very friendly and will treat you like family. It’s a great deal for the price.

Good place in a nice location. The rooms are set in nice grounds and there is a nice bar on the terrace for food and drinks. It is a little out of the centre so is nice and quiet. The toilet / bathroom was very small, but for one night it was fine.

We stayed at Secret Garden a couple of nights before and after safari. The staff is welcoming and made us feel right at home. There was a small Issue with our first room, so they moved us to another and we appreciated that. The restaurant is quaint and the food is made with love. It tastes great! We really enjoyed interacting with staff. That is what earns this its 4-Stars. It is a basic hotel if you’re comparing to US standards, but it’s a fine place to rest your head and relax when in Moshi.
