I booked a room at Mercure through the app because I was attracted by the amenities displayed, particularly the long sofa in the room. However, upon check-in, the room I was given did not match the photos (the sofa was different, there was only a single sofa, and there were pillars that made the room feel cramped). When I confirmed with the receptionist, I was told that the room was "a matter of luck," without any apology. I was disappointed because I was simply asking for what I was entitled to, as stated in the app. As a guest, I felt this did not reflect international hotel hospitality standards. Although the room was eventually changed to the one I had booked, the process took approximately 30 minutes, and I had to wait standing without a clear explanation. This was a very disappointing experience and not commensurate with Mercure's price and reputation.
