The staff at Canto de Luz organized a takeaway breakfast our first morning, accommodating our late arrival and early departure for a day trip to Braga. Our city retreat apartment was carefully serviced each day, with towels refreshed regularly. The staff demonstrated exceptional friendliness and attentiveness throughout our stay. Both the coffee and breakfast were of high quality, and the pool facilities were well maintained. We also loved the hotel’s driver, Rafael, who picked us up from the airport and guided us around the Minho area the next day!

I cannot say enough good things about the Canto do Luz. The property and rooms are lovely and the food is delicious but the staff is amazing! They are very friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. I highly recommend!

My stay at Canto de Luz was exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Hannah, who greeted us upon arrival and provided outstanding hospitality during our entire stay. She was incredibly helpful, attentive, and always available to answer questions. Her recommendations for local restaurants, cafés, and bars were excellent and truly enhanced our experience in Porto. The combination of the stunning property, attention to detail, and warm, personalized service made this one of the best stays we’ve had while traveling. I would highly recommend Canto de Luz to anyone visiting Porto and would gladly stay here again.

Absolutely loved staying here. The staff was so friendly and helpful. In a great area outside of the old town. A plus to have the car garage. We will absolutely stay here again.

Breakfast was very good. Wide variety of options were available and all were fresh and delicious. The only negative was the location of our room ("city room"). We faced the front street and the noise from late night drunkards lasted until 2 or 3 in the morning making it very difficult to sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at Canto de Luz! The location is fantastic, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops just steps away. The complimentary breakfast was a real highlight and we appreciated that it wasn’t buffet-style to help reduce waste. The food options were well thought out, and the portions were just right. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. Overall, we truly felt well cared for and would happily stay again. Shout out to Lina! :)

This was such a wonderful stay! We were staying with our 2 year old, and everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable and even appreciated as a family with a small kid. We were upgraded to a villa, which was a lot of fun for our son. Room was spotless, the shower had amazing pressure with hot water, and the mattress was possibly one ofthe best we've laid our heads on. Their breakfast came with a side of smiles and always made our days start off on a positive note. Thank you Susan, Hannah, Priscillia (and everyone else who's names I might mot remember!). Highly recommednd. Good location, good vibes, and comfortable.

Stayed here for a week with my little family. Staff were always friendly and warm. The hotel was clean and had a homie vibe. We had an amazing time!

We had an incredible stay at Canto de Luz and highly recommend it—especially for families traveling with little ones! The location is perfect: central yet on a quiet street, and we found Porto much more stroller-friendly than Lisbon. We could walk everywhere with ease. Our City Retreat suite on the ground floor was super convenient with our 17-month-old, offering plenty of space (including a long hallway for him to run around). The large pack ‘n play crib was perfect, and the floor-to-ceiling windows could be fully blacked out, making naps a breeze—for both baby and parents! Breakfast each morning was a highlight—delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. They even provided baby cutlery and plates, which was such a nice touch. The bright, airy dining space with large windows overlooking the terrace made for a lovely start to the day. Though we couldn’t use the heated pool due to the weather, it was a great added feature. The staff was wonderful—Susan was always available via WhatsApp, and Joanna warmly greeted us each morning. They even provided milk for our baby when we arrived late and hadn’t had time to go to the grocery store. The small details, like a towel-warming rack, easy-to-use washer/dryer, intuitive lighting, and an incredibly comfortable bed, made our stay extra special. We absolutely loved our experience at Canto de Luz and would stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Porto, especially families.

This hotel is in middle of the city which is great if you want to walk around and eveything was easy to get to. Getting a taxi is easy or bolt like uber is very friendly. The staff is super nice and friendly the breakfast was serviced with so much care. We enjoyed that alot. But the bed is hard mattresses that was very uncomfortable for us. The room we selected was garden facing but no view of the garden that was disappointing. The sofa bed was also not very comfortable.

Fantastic place with amazing staff and service

Excellent staff especially Ludmila who referred us to Almada 331. We met the owner Fernando who was an Amazing host. We loved everything about the hotel & have referred our friends. Excellent location. Loved the sample pirt. Laundry is nearby and easy to eat while doing laundry. Trindade metro to airport is close so no need to worry abput transport.

I loved the staff! They were really kind and helpful. It was really cute and I liked that we can walk everywhere and overall I think it was a really good place.
