Firstly, this hotel is located in a very dangerous area in the center of Madrid, surrounded by homeless people and drug addicts. It's extremely noisy at night, with constant police sirens nearby. The hotel's soundproofing is also very poor; you can hear everything clearly from the rooms, especially since the subway runs underneath, and the noise can reach the hotel. If you want a good night's rest, avoid this hotel. Considering the price and extremely basic facilities, the price doesn't match the poor quality. For the same price, you can go to a larger and better hotel in the area. This hotel is clearly ripping off tourists. There aren't even cups for brushing teeth and rinsing your mouth in the room; they use small paper cups instead. The bathroom is so small that you'll bump your head on the door when you get up. Water from the shower overflows and spreads throughout the room. The room size is significantly smaller than advertised. Service is practically nonexistent, room cleanliness is poor, and towels are not provided. The provided bath towels are so small they can be used as hand towels. The quality of bed linens is very bad. The hotel's attitude towards guests is also extremely poor. When you legitimately request a refund before your stay, you are refused, and they try to deceive you into upgrading your room without giving a concrete answer until you have no choice but to check in. To avoid being charged unnecessary fees, especially when the hotel ignores guests' legitimate requests via email, it is strongly advised that travelers considering booking this hotel avoid it and risk paying extra for a bad experience.

The staff were very friendly and the rooms nice and clean but good grief were they small. There isn't a proper bathroom so the toilet and shower were separate, both opened directly into the room and neither one had a door that stretched to the floor and ceiling meaning you can hear and smell your partner having a poo. While we liked the area and the room was clean we wouldn't stay in an Ibis budget again given the bayhroom situation.

The hotel itself is very modern and at the top end of what you would expect from an Ibis Budget (in fact if you changed the open bathroom design into a normal bathroom then it would be difficult to tell it apart from a normal Ibis). The rooms are clean, and housekeeping service was efficient. Staff at reception were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great, and there was an outdoor courtyard area to eat in, which was a nice touch. The room's air conditioning worked really well. Our room faced the back of the hotel and so was very quiet - no noise from outside or from other rooms. The location though - it's not great. It's across the street from a Metro station, so you can get around quickly, but the area itself has a lot of homeless people, a lot of unpleasant characters hanging about, and a general dirty feel. I stayed here with my young daughter and had I researched the area properly I probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel. That's a shame as the hotel itself was decent enough.

Location was convenient as it was close to the train station. Budget hotel so rooms were a bit small and everything is upcharged (like luggage storage). Also the shower opens directly into the room, so just be aware if you are sharing a room. However hard to complain since it was a budget price.

extremely small room for a solo traveler. No closet and I could barely move around the room with my luggage on the floor. this facility is modern and clean. However, something is weird with the plumbing system. I can hear the water going down the pipe from the sink from my room as well as other rooms. The staff friendliness varies from person to person. some are better than others. location was close to metro and about 20 min to Atocha train station. However the room I stayed was extremely noisy all night - noise from the street ( you can heat people screaming and drinking from the street) bothered me very much. For a quick stay, location is good. If you are looking for a good night’s sleep, don’t recommend.
