My stay was overall great! Only things I had issues with was the shower not having an anti-slip mat, I almost slipped a few times while taking a shower. I also wish we had ample water pressure.

It was a good place to stay

The TV was supposed to be working with Chromecast but the hotel facilities couldn't help us with resolving the chromecast issue in TV. They weren't very much helpful in that direction, water was paid and the snacks were super expensive.

Great location, near to the mall and close to the airport. Easy access to public transportation.

Overall the facility was good, but it was the parking that threw me off, being an out of state resident, I believe to pay for parking was not so welcome, knowing there are lots of parking rules in NY and when you are not familiar with them it is a bit stressful, and if we are to pay at the facility it should not be as high as it was.

Basic hotel with airport shuttle on the half hours

We loved our stay at the Holiday Inn express Woodside. It is a new property, and the staff was extremely friendly and was willing to support all of our needs. There is airport transportation, which is very nice and the driver was extremely friendly. This is a great property. If you are going in for a downtown show I can’t wait to go back.

Nice rooms, clean, complimentary breakfast was good, free airport shuttle service. Location is great, short 10 minute walk to the train, bus stop is right in front of the building

I booked my room a few hours prior to arrival given travel cancellations. I arrived 12:15AM - clearly exhausted only to find that the airlines were still in possession of my Driver’s License. The front desk teammate was incredible (Marie). She was understanding and calm. Answered a lot of travel questions and was very helpful. She was still at the desk when I was leaving at 6:15AM and still had a great smile and sent me off with some water to ease my travel day ahead. If you need a clean room, with plenty of charging plugs, and a microwave and refrigerator - near LGA - this is the place to crash. Do not believe Expedia when they say that it has a shuttle to JFK and is a 15 minute drive. Even at 6:30AM - it took 45 minutes to get a Lyft and get to JFK. Marie made it all worthwhile!

The hotel is great, clean, and the staff was friendly. We had 3 people in one room and had to let the front desk know we didn’t have enough towels or washcloths the first night we were there. When they cleaned our room the next day, we again didn’t have enough towels/washcloths for 3 people. Minor inconvenience but noteworthy. The area around the hotel is fairly noisy - lots of sirens. Our room was on the front, street facing side so I’m not sure if rooms on the other side are quieter. There is a subway station about 10-12 mins away by foot which made it really easy to get downtown. Breakfast was good. Hotel shuttle was super convenient. We’d stay here again if we come back to NYC.

desk service- excellent maid service- terrible ( blankets were yellow stained, some spots just having holes as material had been deteriorating, floor carpet is so dirty and room smells mold as vent fan did not work, furniture is heavily used with acratches , lamp was broken, matress is unevn and feels every spring ) breakfast- food choices are good as in any holiday inn express hotel but some items - water bottles and yogurt - we need to ask several times to bring no matter of time- 7 am or 9 am- yogurt and small water bottles are not at service area. it feels like i m in south america as service personnel, including breakfast service, do not speak english and do not want to make any effort to speak english
