check in took a bit long but the room was nice (nicer than what I thought i booked). Great kitchen. Nice rooftop pool. Very easy location (2 minutes from ADO alternate). The only negative is the entrance up some stairs (7 or 8 maybe) and a very heavy glass door. Not the best set-up when coming in with luggage. Really awesome for the price.

Big rooms, but the bed was hard and the pillows were horrible. No city view, as it was mentioned in the booking.

Perfect for a night’s rest after a full day of exploring. I thought the bed was very comfortable. You can hear the noise from outside and it can be loud, but I came prepared with earbuds.

We have stayed at least 7 times and have never been disappointed.

Great location, nice rooftop pool but needs more lounger’s and better chairs. Chairs on rooftop and balconies are uncomfortable and some are in disrepair. The rainfall shower lacks water pressure and water escapes from shower onto bathroom floor under door. They do not supply face cloths, dish cloths or tea towels for drying dishes. Sometimes the air conditioner drips which wouldn’t be a problem other than it’s directly over the bed. Other than these minor inconveniences we really enjoyed our stay at Meliora.

Overall, this hotel stay was good. Our room had a small balcony and kitchenette. The king bed was firm and air conditioning effective. Decor slightly dated but well maintained. It was quite clean and housekeeping came daily with linens changed every 3 days. Only two pillows provided and when we (my husband and I) asked for a few more we were refused. Pillows were lumpy. No face clothes provided. Linens a little bit worn but clean. Unfortunately, the final nights of our stay were disrupted by a large festival happening in the park directly behind the hotel. 7am sound checks and the concert went late into the night. I wish the hotel would have given us an heads up about this Overall, I would have said this was a good value for a good stay and I would stay again but not without checking if there are concerts happening in the park amphitheater!

I have stayed at Meliora multiple times over the past years and every stay has been a delight. With Walmart and other stores being nearby it is very convenient. Dining options are very diverse and within walking distance. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Playa.

Overall, a decent apartment style hotel right next to the Alterna ADO bus station which makes transport to and from the airport super easy. Apartment was big and spacious, although the furniture felt small and didn’t really fit the space. Bed was fairly firm and only 2 pillows for a king bed. Rooftop pool was big but there were only a few loungers that were taken up quickly and the other hammocks and seating were not out when we went up to the pool. Location was also walkable to a lot of stuff on 5th Ave so this made dining and drinking easy.

We loved our stay at Meliora by Bunik. We were here for two weeks and found the location to be excellent as it was close to shopping and centrally located. It was just a short walk to 5th avenue and the beaches. The small kitchen was handy and the room was spacious with a comfortable king size bed. Showers were nice and we had no issues with temperature or pressure. Staff was great and daily cleaners were excellent. The property grounds are pretty with plants and trees and our patio was overlooking the area. We were very comfortable staying in the neighborhood and felt safe. Close proximity to Walmart and many convenience stores and restaurants. The plaza 28 de Julio has markets and entertainment almost each day we were there. Sometimes it was a bit loud in late evening but shutdown at reasonable time. The rooftop pool area is fantastic and we enjoyed cooling off here. Overall we would highly recommend this property and stay here again.

Beautiful room. Roof top pool area is stunning. Walmart only two blocks away, 5th ave shopping a 5 my nute walk away. Easy access to the beach. A 10 minute walk to the collectivo bus which takes you to anywhere on the route to Tulum.

Quiet property just outside the hustle n bustle of being closer to 5th avenue. Very pleasant staff. A few small things, leaking faucets, things like that. But definitely excellent for the value.

We stayed at the hotel for 6 days, and overall it was a great experience. The room is spacious and well-equipped, with a full kitchen (including pots, utensils, glasses, and even a blender). The air conditioning is excellent and quiet. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower, but since we had read that this is a common issue in Playa, we adjusted our expectations and it wasn’t a problem. The room was always clean, fresh-smelling, and tidy. The pool area is simple but new and functional. The location is excellent, right next to Walmart and the ADO station, with an easy walk to Fifth Avenue. On weekends, there’s a local market in a nearby square with beautiful local art — we loved it! There’s also a convenience store right in front of the hotel. The reception service was always very quick. I asked a question through Expedia’s chat during my stay, and they replied within a few minutes. The hotel is close to the buzz of Fifth Avenue but far enough to guarantee complete silence at night. If you’re interested in doing laundry, I recommend www.lavanderia24hrspdc.com, which I found through another review. The prices were fair, and the service was ready in one day :)

Big clean comfortable rooms. Bright, friendly, helpful staff. Great walkable neighborhood close to beach and restaurants, but peaceful and quiet. The pool is great. I’ll be back!

Great place to stay. 5 minute walk from 5th Ave and th beach. Rooms very clean and modern. Will be staying again.
