Excellent location on the seafront, with very friendly staff. The owners are working on improving the rooms & facilities. We'd definitely stay here again.

I booked the hotel as it says that it had air conditioning. It doesn’t when i asked the staff they were rude and unhelpful. This is a rundown overpriced relic of a hotel. The gentleman on reception was the rudest person i have ever encountered. Avoid

Don’t stay here if you have a baby. Despite having given the hotel the age of my young baby prior to our arrival, and obviously having a pram when we checked in, the first room we were given was down a narrow flight of stairs which was very difficult to carry a pram up/down safely. We complained and were initially told to leave the pram outside reception. I pointed out that would mean we may have to carry a lot of things up and down the stairs whilst carrying a baby also- not safe. They then gave us a “more accessible” room which was up a set of 4 steps. The travel cot they provided did not have a base, and instead they had folded up a duvet at the bottom and balanced the mattress on top. I complained and they found the base fairly quickly, but did not have an appropriate sheet for the travel mattress. Instead they had used a flat sheet from a double bed folded up around the mattress. When I highlighted that this does not follow NHS safe sleep guidelines in the UK the manager argued with me, and tried to tell me we would be fine even after I told him this is a SIDS risk as the baby could pull the sheets loose, which can be a suffocation risk. The manager then tried to persuade me that the outer layer of the mattress itself counted as a fitted sheet. They were unable/unwilling to resolve the problem beyond this, and we had to go out the next day to buy an appropriate bed sheet. Despite telling them about the risks, the manager clearly didn’t communicate this to housekeepi

The staff was great, but the property needs some work. Our “bay view” was covered by scaffolding and absolutely filthy windows. Carpets were really shabby and the floorboards all creaked and were lumpy.

We had a lovely stay at the Exmouth Beach Hotel. They were kind enough to accommodate an early check in for us, which we really appreciated. We booked a room with a sea view and it was absolutely beautiful. The location is perfect, so close to the beach and an easy walk to local shops and restaurants. The room itself felt a little bit dated, but it was still perfectly okay and comfortable for our stay. Would recommend for the location and views!

Glad I didn’t reserve parking at the hotel, would not have wanted to contend with it. Very narrow spaces and area. Hotel itself very run down/grubby. Stained carpets and marked walls. Bedding appeared clean but strange, salty smell to pillow cases. Room would have benefited from a fan, was very warm. Breakfast was ok. Staff friendly but not enough to compensate for other things mentioned.

I had such a lovely stay at The Exmouth Beach Hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and absolutely lovely. My room was spotless and the shower room clean. Breakfast was probably the best I’ve had in a very long time. The variety of food was incredible. This hotel is a little gem and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. A special thank you to the brilliant staff. Thank you 😊

Our room was clean and spacious, comfy beds and decent shower, staff were helpful and friendly, we didn't have breakfast, the bar didn't seem to be used much, Hotel is very close for town, pubs, cafes and restaurants

Hotel is situated on tbe Exmouth seafront. We arrived early but were able to park up although the parking area is very unstable. On checking in the guy on reception was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom had a corner spa bath which was lovely. It's about 10-15 minutes walk to the town centre where there are plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Double room on small size. Bed was a small double. Sea view was lovely. Breakfast was good. Limited parking managed to get space for 3 nights. Had problem with leaking toilet from 1st day. Reported every day, never seemed to resolve. Towels stuffed at back of toilet to soak up. Not great. Only sorted we think on day left.

Disappointing to be told that daily parking outside the hotel was £8 a day and was expecting breakfast to be included in the cost -£24 per couple per day. Thank goodness there was a Wetherspoons in Exmouth- foe 2 good breakfasts with unlimited tea coffee or hot chocolate cost total for 2 £13

Room was pleasant but very small. The shower room was tiny. The cooked breakfast was well cooked good quality and tasty. There was too much highly processed breads, cakes and cereals. No nuts, seeds or dried fruit.

Hotel has obviously been run down and needs a lot of work done. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. I wish them all the luck with their dream
