Made with love! The setting is beautiful in the countryside, and you still have the feel of that historic old house. We enjoyed the fire camp before going to bed, and the breakfast in pajamas on our own terrace in the morning! It's a great value for your $, and the owner is also adorable! Go, go, go!

Beautiful little apartment in a gorgeous setting. Very comfortable. Arrived by bike, close to Route Verte. Wonderful host, delicious breakfast - croissants, asparagus omelet, fruit salad, yogurt parfait, fresh cider…. Yum!

Food was wonderful - Order the frog legs, they were perfectly cooked and BIG. They're generous with the portions and the service was superb. Expensive? No. Not when you're paying for quality food, c'mon people. Every dish was a work of art. The attention to detail, you can tell Chef Jose loves what he does. Order: Frog Legs (Entree) - Sauce was perfect Lamb (Main) - Beautiful cuts Mixed Drink: Italian Ice Tea (very very refreshing) Overall: Highly recommended, we'll be going back. Plus, it's in Rougemont; the area is gorgeous.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Auberge Le Fruit Défendu hosted by Dominique and José in the last week of June 2022. Dominique and José are excellent hosts. It was a five star experience in many ways. The accommodation, the breakfasts, the help with our questions about our visit to Rougemont. Everything was perfect. We would highly recommend staying at the Auberge Le Fruit Défendu and hope to see Dominique and José again next year.

Delicious food, superb ambiance and thoughtful service! We dropped by for lunch while in the area and sat on the cozy terrace out back. We chose from the menu of approximately 7-8 lunch options (lasagna, pork loin, duck, bavette, fish and vegetarian options as well), selecting the bavette and the duck as well as a bottle of St-Emilion. The lunch came with a small bowl of vegetable rice soup which was flavourful but not filling. Both the duck and bavette were perfectly cooked and served with potatoes as well as two salads: tomato and arugula with vinaigrette. We loved our food and our experience and can’t wait to go back!
