This was our second stay at Domaine de Chatenay and it didn't disappoint.
Our host was wonderfully amiable and the property historically quaint and very interesting. (It has a suspended, polished wooden spiral staircase). The rooms are sympathetically decorated in the manor of the Chateau's period, but the beds are very comfortable and the en suites are well appointed.
Although very close to the main Autoroute (And therefore very accessible whilst en route South), once there, all you hear is birdsong. The property is a little difficult to find, first time round, but is close to some very accessible restaurants that cater for all requirements. Breakfast is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the owner who speaks quite good English.
