It was a short stay but we were happy how clean this place was. We loved the infinity pool from where we saw whales in the distance. Hotel was clean and comfortable. I wish the rooms had small fridges and safe but for the short stay we managed without it

A nice well built small 40 room hotel overlooking a small bay. Beautiful views from rooms, pools and restaurants. NOT on the beach, but a 10 minute walk to Arricito beach, which has nice water, snorkeling and a basic restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Please add some Kleenex in the rooms! You have to take a cab to the other beaches, or into town. We hope to go back to this hotel in the future.

Loved the Hospitality, the front desk and most certainly the Housekeeper staff was excellent!!! The dinning staff was also very good. Pool drink Service was almost non existent. Even when walking over to the bar there at times were no bar tenders present . Require a few more poolside lounger chairs as between 2 pools there are only 10 . There is a nice empty patio just a couple steps away from the upper pool which a great place to put a few more loungers. Rooms have no refrigerator to keep a few cold items.

It was mostly a good experience but was surprised that we had a kitchenette with no utensils. They gave us the bare minimum only when we asked for it. A microwave would have been a real asset. There was no hot water which we are told is not unusual for Mexico. The surroundings were impeccably clean, the staff was kind, the area was extremely beautiful

It’s very quiet and peaceful. Staff are very friendly pools are great with a fantastic view Food is very good The downside, no elevator and no fridge in the room. Also we had no cold water in our room. The shower and sink were only hot water. It was almost impossible to have a shower

Although this hotel has no beachfront, Arricito beach is an easy 10 minute walk away. Beautiful views from the rooms and 2 pools which are not busy. Quite a few stairs up and down to the rooms and lobby. Staff are very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Nice views. Not a good place for people with mobility issues, unless you request a room at the top. Had an issue with staff upon arrival. Our cab driver took us to the lower parking area, not knowing the reception was at another turn off. So we walked up hundreds of stairs to finally get to reception. None of the staff, security guard, restaurant staff or towel girl let us or the cab driver know to turn around and drive us to the top of the hotel. After a long day of travelling we were not amused.

No wi-fi, and little-to-no water for showers was a big issue in our room. Upon repeated trips to the front desk the staff and mgr did nothing...until day 4 when we were offered another room...but at an additional cost of $850mxn ($60cad) per night. Also the hotel has 2 beautiful pools, however area for only 5 loungers at poolside...if you are the 6th person you get nothing but a towel on concrete. The hotel is in a nice location, and workable if you are doing day trips and adventures, but don't count on it if plan to spend time at the hotel itself. The food is just OK in the restaraunt, drinks over-priced in the bar.

I’ll start with the positive. The setting of the property is beautiful, on a cliff overlooking a small bay and the ocean. The outdoor areas were well maintained. Our room was spacious, updated, very clean. A large balcony with 2 chairs with the same ocean view. Most staff were helpful and kind. The 2 pools were large, clean and a perfect temperature, nice pool towels. Taxis were readily available. Now, on to the not so good. Check in time is 3pm. Don’t think that you can get into your room even 1 minute before then, even if your room is ready. The reception desk will absolutely refuse. I have never experienced that in any of my frequent hotel experiences. We travelled with another couple, our room had a fridge, hot plate and sink, obviously to allow food preparation. They chose a room without those amenities. At check in they were told absolutely no food in the room, they even signed the check in form confirming that. Why allow food preparation in one room, but not even an apple or bag of chips in another? There are no convenience stores or restaurants in the area, but there is a mini Starbucks on site. Aside from only 6 loungers at each pool, there is no other outdoor seating, except the 4 tables in the bar area. There is a very large terrace area with an ocean view, but it is left as a wide open expanse, no seating or tables. It appears that there was access to the small bay below the hotel, but it was roped off. A safe was advertised as one of

I don't even know where to start. I just spent 2 weeks in Huatulco as I have a place being built in the area which is not ready yet. Our first 9 days we spent at Villas Coral as we visited a friend there last year. The Hotel is amazing. The views are stunning, and the food is delicious. However, none of that compares to the fantastic staff working there. Everyone, including maintenance staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. At first i thought we were being treated as special because we were from Canada. Within a few days, I realized that every patron was treated like a King or Queen. From the first moment of meeting Carolina at the front desk (and Juan) we knew our stay would be wonderful. Carolina was helping teach me Spanish, and always had a beauttiful smile and kind words. My bartenders and friends Asael and Jesus were incredible, along with Ramiro and Manuel. I spent a lot of time with these gentleman and cannot wait to go back and visit them. The CHEF (or god as I thought he was) was uber friendly and fun to talk with. Even the guys at the gate were great After nine days we dreaded leaving but had already paid for an all-inclusive not far away. Well, I will leave comments for them on a different page, but we regretted going to that other hotel. There was no comparison. For value, Villas Coral is the best bang I have ever had. I look forward to having a major life event there in the future. Thank you to all the staff for 9 great days. John and Jamie
