I really appreciate the hotel team making arrangements for me to arrive after hours when I unexpectedly had to take my aunt to the hospital till after midnight

It’s been very hot I know, but our room was stifling hot. There was a small desk fan on which wasn’t at all efficient as old and bit grubby. Luckily the sash windows could open right up. Dinner in the evening I chose fish and chips. The batter was very hard crispy and bit dry in the middle so obviously overcooked. My husband’s dinner was steak and ale pie which was a bit dry and not much gravy. We were tired after the rugby so didn’t complain but think we should have. The Pinot Grigio was lovely. We love the Kings Arms but since the takeover it’s not the same. Used to be heaving with people on a Saturday night but last night, lots of empty ones. Shame as we’re thinking we won’t go next year.

Clean room. It was a very hot day and rooms did not have aircon. They provided a small fan but had no others to give us. The room was 30 degs! We had to keep the window closed, as there was a birthday party below us. We had to go to bed early, as we were leaving for Heathrow at 2am. The birthday party group did leave around 11pm but by then, the room was so hot.

The team here are wonderful and so accommodating. They always go above and beyond to help me out and make me feel welcome. The woman who helped me this trip was excellent and made suggestions to help me out for my next stay as well. I didn't get her name, but she was a dark haired French person. The pub is clean with great food and the rooms are comfortable and well decorated. I always like the extra touches of the radio, a little drink, and the comfortable soft sheets.

Always my first choice when visiting Egham.

What a great time. The entire staff is special. Everyone went above and beyond our expectations Could not have asked for more. Carol was outstanding and completely accommodating Etain went out of her way to make us comfortable and feel at home Our first room was the loft and it wasn’t right for us. Etain worked endlessly to get the arrangements changed. Wish I could give them more stars! And the food was delicious

Lovely clean bedroom, breakfast amazing

They hotel had double booked and we were turned away. No room. As two elderly travellers I was appalled to have to drive straight back home 100 miles in the evening. Staff just said they couldn't help

Third stay at the King’s Arms , always up to standard with nice staff & great rooms

The room was fantastic! Very clean. The dinner as delicious- Compliments to the chef and team! The staff at The Kings Arms really are so friendly, professional and hardworking. You can tell they are a happy, close team and this made our stay so much more enjoyable. Well done to everyone 5 stars!!!!

This is my fourth visit here. Lovely rooms, friendly staff and great food. Always my first choice accommodation when visiting Royal Holloway, University of London as it's just a short walk away.

Our room was spotless, the facilities were good and it was warm and cosy on a cold January day. Nice little touches throughout and a high quality breakfast - just one thing, how about a packet of biscuits to supplement the tea/coffee?

Good location and price. Really liked the aesthetic - lots of nice touches throughout the place. Thanks to Ali for the warm welcome and showing us to the room. Would consider staying again but there are some things to improve:- Sensor activated bathroom light kept coming on even with the door shut. Bathroom door is effectively see through meaning the bedroom lit up at intervals during the night and there is effectively no privacy. Extractor fan was on permanently and noisy. Bathroom is a wet room, but the tiny shower screen does nothing. Bed was a good firmness but strangely short and pillows were hard.

Staff were very nice BUT the carpet on the stairs to the room was so shoddy and worn it really did take away from a really nice place
