The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The bedroom needs updated however it was adequate. The food is amazing, very tasty and plenty of it. I would stay again

Ok it was very tired , maybe the false nail by toilet on floor was not great . Maybe the banging and crashing at 4am . Was tuff as I had to be up at 6am . But the main lady was nice

The room had no ventilation, the towels were too old and worn while the bar area stunk of urine. The staff were brilliant I couldn’t have asked for more. In the early hours of Friday morning around 2am, a domestic violence incident occurred in room 2 that frightened me hearing a woman screaming and doors being slammed and man in pursuit of her. This was a real moment of fright.

Excellent place to stop. Will definitely use again.

Pub was ok, room dirty,dirty bedding and towels. No staff to complain to only bar staff who weren't really interested. Left after a few hours instead of staying the 2 n8ghts we had booked

New management team had just taken over the accommodation but they were very friendly & helpful & quickly sorted out some minor issues. Room was very clean & comfortable.

The bar itself and the staff - good. Breakfast - None Room - No soap. Heaters - Very noisy Couldn't get out of my room. It took me 45 minutes when a lady walking past the hotel helped me..

It was an old building with worn-out furniture. The toilet was dirty, and the mattress was old and unclean. The service and staff behavior were good, though. I think the place was expensive for what it offered. The hot water worked well.

Room we stayed in was comfortable but tired, weekend music was loud but finished at 11pm, staff could not do enough for you unfortunately we stayed while a manager change over so no food available, little cafe next door claires kitchen is recommended, nice micro pub down high st, the Brunel suited our needs and price was very reasonable

Paid for a a deluxe room and it was definitely not deluxe.towels were poor the whole experience was very uncomfortable didn’t sleep well at all 😩 was not worth £95 that we paid and that was just for the room

No food in the pub, TV had a damaged screen , no hot water.

The worst place we have stayed in years. Played dance music till 11:30pm every night, sheets had blood on them, bathroom had black grime around the shower/bath. Stay well clear

Room 10 Described as Deluxe Double!, I wouldn't give it one star. 2 bath towels and one hand towel that looked as though they had been used and refolded. I didn't feel brave enough to do a 'sniff' test. No hot water after letting it run for two minutes. No bath mat. Bath panel hanging off. No toilet roll holder. No hand rails for shower. No nonslip mat either. Main light in bathroom didn't work and kept flickering so light not adequate to see to shave.  Not even any soap, although information board on wall on way in states 'toiletries'. No milk for tea and coffee. We didn’t stay. Then had to fight for refund. Have written this sfter cooling fown period. Room was generally grubby and not welcoming. Lack of equipment and facilities would not qualify this room for one star on any tourism rating scheme, let alone a description of 'Deluxe'.
