Great high ceilings and had lots of character

Loved the location and the balcony views. Very large spacious rooms and good amenities.

Colhurst House is proper luxury accommodation at a pretty reasonable price. The bed was excellent, and the downstairs bathroom was the most luxurious I have ever seen. Parking is easy.

The room was clean, staff friendly and convenient for restaurants.

No frills budget room with a bed and a clean bathroom in a 150 year old quirky little mansion. The "breakfast served daily" note in this Expedia listing is to be interpreted as served downtown in the restaurant of your choice (and paid for by you) LOL. The vibe here is memorable and the history is fascinating. We loved our stay.

Large room (#4), a unique experience from a hotel/motel. No on site management/reception. No A/C in the bedroom itself but in the bathroom. No blackout drapes - room very light for sleeping. Shower had little water pressure. Interesting for a one night stay.

Wicked spot to stay , we had a beautiful room with an excellent bathroom , nice comfortable bed , nothing like having a fire place in your bedroom on a cool night . In the morning even the birds didn’t wake us up so for all the people looking for comfort at a little more than a good motel room this is the spot .

Beautiful room and bathroom suite. Bathroom incl beautiful big bath and all the amenities though shower pressure was terrible…just a dribble - partner thought it was due to occupant in another suite utilising HWS at same time perhaps … ? Bed was very comfy and we were warmly welcomed upon check in.

the room was too cold even with the heaters going, no comfortable chairs to sit on , huge bathroom but very uninviting and cold

Location is great; room was clean. But the house is tired looking and requires some TLC. Bedside tables were very unstable. Charm only lasts so long, chairs were covered with sheets vs proper slipcovers. Internet was unreliable.
