On our 4 hour drive to Duluth we received a call that they were double booked and didn’t have availability for us. They attempted to find us another place to stay and were willing to pay the difference up to $150-200 but options were limited on short notice and not in Canal Park like we specifically chose. We ended up finding our own alternative after a lot of last minute stress.

Absolutely loved our stay — we’ve definitely found our new go-to place in Duluth! The outdoor fireplace was such a relaxing touch. I spent time sitting outside with my book, people-watching, and soaking in the peaceful sounds of the waves from Lake Superior. The location couldn’t have been more perfect — just steps from everything in Canal Park. We didn’t have to move our car once, which was a huge bonus. Can’t wait to come back and stay again!

A great place to stay in Duluth - the location is perfect and yet out of the way of the traffic on Canal Street.

Loved everything

There was a hiccup checking in. The bedspread was either dirty or stained. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was good.

A unique place to stay in an ideal location. Extremely clean, new, and well maintained. Quiet. Beautiful views. EV chargers just outside. Within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and shopping. Lake Superior and wonderful rock beach in front of inn. Nice full deck with fire pit. Outdoor sauna feels fantastic when Duluth gets chilly at night. Very comfortable stay. We'll be back!

Proximity to lake, dining and attractions was excellent. Building history and architecture made for neat experience. Room was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated.

Beautiful room, perfect location.

Liked the historic aspect, high ceilings and large bedroom, balcony to sit out on, close to Duluth shipping entry. One thing is room #5 has steps, so if you cannot do steps do not get this room. Otherwise great! Good support when called for help to get in the room.

It was a super cute room, we had room four. In a great location, walkable to lots of great restaurants and bars and coffee. My only complaint is a check-in was so late at 4 PM and checkout was early at 10 AM. And they were looking for an up charge to extend either.

The space was excellent. Only issue was there was no heat and it was a cold and rainy weekend. It was brought to their attention, they said they would tell maintenance and nothing was done about it. So a 60 degree stay it was. So because of that fact, that it wasn’t a priority to come check, the rating had to be less. If that would’ve been at least checked, sure you might not have been able to fix it on a weekend, the rating could’ve been a full 5 stars. Truly I believe a discount should be given since it wasn’t important enough to at least come check out. They just left it at we will notify maintenance and get back to you, then nothing happened beyond that.

We loved it!

The property is well maintained and cozy. I wish they had a traditional door on the bathroom and not the sliding barn door.

Room 5 was spacious with a great view from the balcony. Unfortunately the sauna housed a homeless person due to a broken lock. The sauna was also littered with leaves and paper. Didn’t seem to get real hot. The lock on our room also stopped working. We contacted the owners but nothing was done. Our room was left unlocked while we went out to explore. Disappointing!

Unique, historic property!

This was such a cute quaint little room for a solo traveler. I loved it! I will be back! And it is right on the lake!
