Fabulous place, clean and well made. Stylish and unique

Zentral gelegen in einem schönen Stadtviertel und trotzdem ruhig, von einer Parkanlage umgeben. Historie des Mittelalterlichen trifft auf das Moderne! Das Frühstück war hervorragend (nicht nur wegen des guten Kaffees), die Betten bequem, das Personal freundlich. Abends kann man einen schönen Spaziergang am Rhein machen und/oder gemütlich in einem Lokal sitzen. Was will man mehr?

What a wonderful place to stay; close to the Düsseldorf airport and yet so close to an historical beautiful small town with good restaurants, a bookshop, and the Rhine nearby.

Nice hôtel, sympathic person. The room was confortable but the bed was not from good quality !

Stayed as part of a trip to the Euros. The hotel was a €18 fare from Dusseldorf Airport, and arrival at hotel was easy and straightforward. I was in a single room that was clean, quiet, nice bathroom…….everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast service was plentiful with a good choice of hot and cold foods. Transport to the centre of Dusseldorf via train was €3.40 with the station approx 5 mins walk from the hotel. Lovely part of the city too that is perfect for a lazy day in this part of Dusseldorf

Really lovely building. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Nice modern rooms. Good breakfast. The only slight downside is the rooms/corridors aren’t very sound proofed so it was quite noisy at points.

It was very quiet, all well kept, in nature with original historical feel and amazing breakfast. Lots of restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. Would come back.

A clear 10 out of 10. This was a repeat stay and it is a wonderful hotel with a great beeakfast as well. Very friendly staff.

The fact that it was an old building with some history.

We thought the rooms were spacious, clean, and lovely; however the mattresses were awful and extremely uncomfortable. This accounts for our mediocre review.

Cool old building and complex in a lovely upscale neighbourhood. Plenty of high end dining within walking distance.

The hotel was extremely impressive - a restored old building with nice clean rooms. The only thing that it lacked was a good bar for all guests to congregate, but there was a lounge area in the basement where you could self-serve drinks, but it was very quiet.

I liked the old building, great character. The staff were very helpful. Location was fantastic, very short walk to local restaurants for dinner. Tram, busses and taxis were also all very close by, mere 2 or 3 minutes from the front door.

Historical building nicely renovated; simple but practical and clean room including complementary sparkling water, coffee, tea; really excellent breakfast with mainly organic produce; close to DUS airport but comparably quiet

What a nice stay! The rooms were very large and the breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend a trip to Kaiserwerth and a stay at the Mutterhaus.

Great place to stay! Traveled to Dusseldorf on business. Didn't want to stay in a chain hotel. This hotel is certainly unique, and the price to stay there was reasonable. Staff very friendly. Not far from the airport.
