I stayed in reims the night before staying hete at a budged ibis hotel and it was far far superior to the f1 in Coquelles calais. The f1 hotel in Coquelles is in need of some updating,it serves a purpose and thats about it,I arrived 2 hours after check in time to find my room was still in an unmade condition. Even after I was allowed in ,the floor hadn't been vacuumed, there was dust and bits everywhere. I slept OK,the breakfast was a disappointment too, nothing special to write home about, this after all a cheap place to doss down if thats all your after, but it could be better,a lot better than it was. The local area has shops and a few restaurants, supermarkets etc,I'm always disappointed the further you are away from Central France and nearer to Paris, its always been the same I think the northern French are just that way inclined.

I have stayed here before and it is what it is a cheap overnight stay on the way somewhere else. However, this time I did not get a bathroom or toilet in my room and had to use shared facilities. This may have been my fault not realising when I booked with Expedia. The sink in the room had a loose tap and no plug. I will be using another nearby hotel next time. I also have to add that the coffee machine in the lobby was disgusting, i tried to get a white coffee (and I speak fluent French so there was no language error) not only was it black but the granules did not dissolve and looked like tar. I’m glad I didn’t order breakfast either, when I left at 0720, the breakfast area was still shut up despite supposedly being open from 0630. I did as I planned, got on the road and had breakfast at Baie de Somme which I thoroughly recommend.

Clean and warm room. Easy check in and check out. The shared showers were dirty but this was due to what I can guess it’s disrespectful guests. Not the hotels fault!

Secure parking, close to the tunnel, room tiny but clean. Functional. No real amenities, the cafe is closed. For me the Jury’s out on whether I like the digital check in for everything and no reception as such. Instructions could be a bit better.

Staff great, room clean, but very compact! Fire alarm at 3 am but no staff to tell us if it was genuine as we waited outside for 20 minutes

We've used F1 hotels for many years across so know what to expect. A few room issues (loose plug socket / hole in wall). Reasonably pleasant staff. Staff fairly friendly. No UK TV

Very nice front desk. The room was very small but adequate, clean and quiet and a great value! . We had a problem and they kindly help us to resolve. We found a lovely beach a short drive away.

Good for the price we paid, no proper information about the toilet/shower arrangements though, towels too small, the one staff member we saw appeared friendly enough. Reminiscent of the cheap rooms at Blackpool in the UK - more of a hostel than an actual hotel. Good if you're catching an early Eurotunnel but please know what it is you're paying for. Pets allowed, breakfast is an extra cost.

For the price I paid the hotel was perfect for a one night stay over… the room was comfy but I could have done with an extra pillow and we spent ages trying to sort out getting in the gate with the car in the dark ..but reception closes at 9. The room was a shared bathroom and there are some kiosks down the corridor though the toilet floor was wet due to a ceiling leak - I would stay again as it’s literally somewhere to rest after getting the evening ferry.

Bed might as well have been a concrete slab. Room not big enough to swing a cat in. This hotel is not a resort, it is your last resort. Good luck.

Wasn’t amazing wasn’t bad either , the room was okay , no kettle or anything in the room The coffee machine at the entrance gave us black coffee even though we pressed white The breakfast was average , choice of 2 cereal toast , pastries and coffee I did like it was secure and the car park had electric gates which closed at 9pm you used a code on your booking to operate the gate after 9pm Area was nice and quiet and not too far from shops etc I do not think we would stay here again but it was cheap and cheerful , staff were pleasant enough
