Big traveler.. Never in my life have I seen guests and employees form such a high level of community, comfort, teamwork and thoughtfulness as I did during my stay at swell this past weekend. Some may disagree specifically to this weekend, but I couldn’t be more excited to come back and see what this beautiful property will be again. Appreciate everything you guys, keep hope 🌋🏄‍♂️🌴

Great place. One block from the beach. Pool and service was top notch. Great for family and couples looking to relax.

Hotel is very nice and the rooms with AC are great (take note of other comments about the loft rooms) - it was quiet and relaxing - great pool (will do the pool rooms next time). Restaurant is geared mainly for breakfast and lunch rather than dinner. But plenty of places along the beach to try. Drinks and food are good a reasonably priced. Only thing to note (and not sure it’s on Hotels.com - and wasn’t mentioned when checked in) is if you pay by card they will add an additional 7% to the bill. Will definitely return :)

The ambience was wonderful, creating a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The hotel was clean, and had comfy beds.

Súper cute, friendly, close to the beach. Staff super nice and fresh food. It is very hot, bring fresh clothes no a/c, but it is beautiful.

Our sheets were dirty. Our slider door lock was broken. No extra towels for the beach.

We had a great time at Swell Surf. The staff were attentive, friendly and easy to get along with and the food was top notch. It was so good, we almost didn’t want to eat anywhere else because we didn’t want to be disappointed. On Monday night, the chef (Tarra/Tara?) put on a buffet style feast for all guests and we really enjoyed it. The pricing for food, drinks, surf board rentals / lessons etc were all extremely fair for a quality oasis just steps away from a beautiful beach. Now when we had booked our stay, there was only one room left for our duration so we didn’t have an option of what room we got, and it turns out we had a loft style room where the bathroom was on the ground floor and the bedroom was up a narrow/steep wooden ladder one floor up. There was no A/C in the room so it was extremely hot up there, it was open to the elements (had to sleep with a net around the bed and battle some bugs and geckos etc..) and carrying the luggage and bathroom gear was challenging and fairly inconvenient. We were lucky we are young and able bodied or else we wouldn’t have been able to do it and it definitely added a layer of inconvenience to the trip. That being said there are some great rooms offered on the property and the ones by the pool looked great and had A/C available, and likely others we didn’t quite see as most of our time was spent eating by the pool. I would highly recommend staying here but make sure you know what room you are getting. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic design and pool.

We came during the hottest time of the year and Swell became our oasis! The swim up pool side room was spacious, clean, and the a/c was cold!!!!! I love the idea of the pretty open air bathrooms and rain showers (no hot water necessary) but it still is a hot sweaty sauna this time of year and I prefer my morning ‘business meeting’ a little cooler. Food is great, fresh, delicious coffee every morning. I love that you can help yourself all day to drinks from the cooler. Daily room cleaning. We barely left the comfort of the beautiful hotel. Too hot to go to the beach until sunset. No need to go anywhere else. Be aware you must pay in cash here. For your stay and everything or they will charge 7% for using a card.

Very chill place. Adults only. Super relaxed and friendly staff. We had a bungalow that was nicely decorated and spacious. Food was really good too.

Nice boutique hotel. Nice pool. My room had the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. The stairs was a little steep in design. I would've opted for a room that has the bathroom on the same level (it's a hassle to use it at night). There are cats and one slept on my extra bed, which I thought was cute, but just fyi for those with cat allergies. The room is not airconditioned but there were adequate fans. The area (Paredon) has a lot of bugs, definitely bring some bug spray. Friendly staff. Wifi was patchy, I had the room farthest from the lounge area but the wifi worked better at the lounge area. Easy walk to the beach.

Awesome hotel & staff!

Amazing spot with friendly and helpful staff. They organized shuttles to Antigua for us and we were able to rent surf boards on site which was very convenient. Every meal we had was amazing.
