A friendly welcome to hotel Caelus, a charming historic building. Comfortable room and good facilities. Nicely set up dining room and good buffet breakfasts. Tongeren old town is lovely with lots of interesting history. Lots of places to eat and drink and great shops.

This was an amazing property. The owner/operator was friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful with nearby shops, restaurants, cafes, and a beautiful cathedral. I could not recommend it more highly. Fantastic boutique hotel.

Very good location and friendly staff

Amazing central location! Right next to the Basilica and Museum. Our hosts are very friendly and it doesn’t feel like a commercial hotel, with a lot of personal attention coming from them throughout our stay. It’s a great base to be at while you explore the surrounding city of Tongeren. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to experience authentic Belgian hospitality.

Wonderful room on the third floor, that was clean and surprisingly spacious with and very comfortable bed. The owner was friendly and accommodating, and the location was convenient for dining, sight seeing and shopping. There are stairs to manage, but for us the spiral staircase added to the charm and gave a sense of privacy.

Such a unique hotel, the hotel room was perfect for our needs and its location is simply awesome, we loved this town

We booked a room here unexpectedly because it was getting too late to drive home. We were very happy to end up at t his hotel: nice old building, nice rooms, very friendly staff, great breakfast. And the location was just perfect, in the middle of the old town, close to the cathedral and market square with lots of good restaurants. We will certainly go back there.

Easy to find and property is excellent quality. Room is huge with separate bathroom area and well equipped.

It was an excellent stay

An excellent hotel! Two thumbs up :D Everything was wonderful. Parking may be a little far away, but it was not a problem at all.

What a wonderful hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm, inviting interior and a very hospitable owner. We rented two rooms for one evening - the rooms were clean and well decorated with large bathrooms. We purchased breakfast in the morning - a must! In addition to a European breakfast, the owner made eggs to order with bacon. The kids loved it so much they want to visit Tongeren again just to stay at the "fancy hotel." The city center is small enough that you can drop off your luggage, park down on Kastenjewal's free parking, and walk back within 10 minutes. Plan ahead for any Sunday morning checkouts - the downtown area is blocked off from traffic to allow pedestrian shopping. This was the perfect place to stay for the Tongeren flea market and we will be back!

Very comfortable and modern hotel, clean large and comfortable room, great shower. Very helpful front desk staff, although they are not at the desk 24/7. Overall an excellent combination of quality, comfort, and value in one of the best locations in Tongeren.

Hotel is very central and the parking is not that easy to find on first visiting. It is 13E per day. The town centre is attractive but about 15% of the shops have closed down and the city centre shopping centre is architecturally attractive but more than half empty.

Right beside the big church in town. Easy walking to shops, museum, cafe's and restaurants. Resto beside the hotel is excellent. Staff are helpful and very kind. Most speak English and know the area. Rooms are very comfortable, European in design, but the beds are great. It is not a big hotel, so if you are expecting an army of service staff, you will not be happy, but if you want the charm of an old hotel in the heart of the town - this is it!! Parking is awkward, as the city council has limited parking meters to 1 hour at a time, but a short walk will get you to a longer time lot.

What a pleasant stay. The hotel decor is lovely and my room was really comfortable and quiet.

Wonderful old historic building nicely renovated! Very helpful staff and a delicious restaurant connected to the hotel. The rooms were outstanding, comfortable beds and plenty of room. The bathroom was nicely remodeled with double sinks and a huge shower with two shower heads. Loved our stay..wish we could have stayed longer!

Heel mooi decor. Heel verzorgd. Fiekfijn in orde. Zeer vriendelijk onthaal. Vers en lekker Ontbijt. Airco. Goed verduisterde kamer. Tamekijk rustig en toch centraal gelegen. Leuk dat er een honesty bar is. Ik zou het zeker aanbevelen als stadshotel.
