This is a self serve hotel in a great location. Amenities such as an ice machine, front desk to speak too, etc. are missing. I chose the economy room as I was travelling on my own. EV charging was free and available but parking was for a daily fee. I had frequent contact with the support staff and they often answered within 10 min by text but were not able to resolve all issues. It was game three of the Montreal-Buffalo NHL game and although I should have been able to watch live TV according to their information, we could not get the TV to do so. Only free channels such as Tubi. I spent some time on the phone with the support staff and they were not able to help. Location is fabulous, windows open so you can cool the room down and in my economy room there was a Danby remote for something that looked like a fan and/or AC but there was no such thing in the room. Nespresso machine with coffee mate and small fridge in your room, no kettle but microwave in a common area. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not great. Very, very small room but again, that's what I asked for and if I travel again with my partner, I would choose a larger room so that we could actually sit (only one chair in the room).

Superbe chambre, simple, propre et bien décorée. L'emplacement est idéal, à deux pas du Musée et des plaines. Nous avons réservé quelques minutes avant de nous présenter et le service reçu a été impeccable. Je recommande.

Cable unit was dead and no staff onsite to change it. Bed very uncomfortable. OK experience overall because of the price and location but will not repeat.

Tres bien situé, près du vieux Québec, plaines, cartier Champlain. Tout se fait en marchant. Faire attention au tapis devant la porte d'entrée, il faudrait qu'il soit réparé car dangereux. Il faisait trop chaud dans la chambre.

Our stay at Hotel Charles-Alexandre was lovely! The location just off the Plains of Abraham park was wonderful for walking into the Old Town. The park, the river and a choice of cafes and restaurants are all in easy reach. The room itself was clean, spacious and pretty! There is no staff on site so we didn’t meet a single staff member but they were very communicative by text - checking in on us daily.

No staff onsite, however you can call and text. They were super helpful and responded quick. Cars were pretty loud outside but wasn’t a big deal for us. Room was decently clean. Not many parking spots

Très bel endroit, bien situé près du vieux Québec. Petit café directement en face avec du délicieux café. Par contre, le chauffage est assez élevé dans la chambre. J'ai dû partir l'air climatisé pour arriver à une température décente. Il devait faire 27 degrés celsius dans la chambre...Merci!

Loved the character of this hotel. It had an antique feel with old world charm. Since the building was a bit older you do hear foot steps and voices a little bit more but it was what I expected from this type of building and didn’t bother us. We never once saw a staff member but they communicated through text and checked in very often. The contactless check in was very easy and we were really happy with their communication and attentiveness. Everything in our room was plugged into 1 extension cord which wasn’t ideal, if we turned on the lamp the fridge made noises and while making coffee the lights would flicker. But it didn’t cause any issues. The location was great as there were so many restaurants in walking distance and easy to get around. Over all we had a great stay, the value for what we paid was very reasonable and would stay again.

Expect to deal with this hotel via text message and have them not solve your issues and defend themselves by saying that they send you instructions on how to fix things if something fails to function. They will send instructions but not resolve The issue if those instructions don’t work. If you are considering staying during winter times be aware that the entrances are not salted and they are dangerously slippery. My son almost fell because the one of the paths of the entrances was not salted and

Please do not book based on the star rating of this hotel. This hotel couldn’t even salt their entrances. There’s no one on site after certain hours, so if someone goes wrong with your room at night time, there’s no one to help.
