The staff were amazing and chatty!

A very clean and comfortable room. Great shower with plenty of good hot water. Easy parking available. Appreciated the fact there was no carpeting on the floor. Bare walls with absolutely no art hung whatsoever was odd and added to a kind of industrial vibe. Restaurant is very good with excellent service, food and prices. Motel is located in the north end of Halifax so it's a bit off the beaten track for those whose main attractions will be downtown. However area is well-serviced by Metro Transit and getting downtown by bus is fast and affordable. Would definitely stay here again!

Everything was as expected

The beds were very comfortable and all linens were great including towels, however the bath had a scum ring and black hair inside the tub.

I checked out and reception told me everything was fine and that I could leave, 4 days later I randomly got a charge on my credit card and I had to email asking why I was charged. They emailed me photos of a “stain” that I had to zoom in to see as it was so feint and small, and I know it would have washed out in the wash but they claimed that a single pillow case was $150. It was a horrible uncomfortable bed anyway when we stayed, so itchy and cheap and the whole hotel is dirty. They have not responded to my emails since I provided proof that the “stain” is not permanent and definitely 100% would come out in the wash. Avoid this hotel at all costs because they will take your money after they tell you there’s no charges, without even providing an explanation.

Very clean and quiet, located conveniently. Attached restaurant is quite good. Could use an ice machine.

The front desk staff were emotionless but nice. The room was clean but needed work! Loved the restaurant attached!

While the staff were pleasant and friendly, the room had a few issues. It was uncomfortably hot in the room and had some issues with cleanliness (the floor was a little dirty and there were a few hairs from previous guests). Another big issue was the bathroom. The switch to turn the bathroom light on also turns the light in the main room on, so if two people share a room they either need to wake up the other person with the light or use the bathroom in the dark. The sink was in the main hotel room instead of the bathroom. It was old and loud so anytime it was used during the night it would wake up anyone else sharing the room. It might have been an okay experience for a single person on a budget using the room, but I wouldn’t recommend it for two or more people.

Bed was comfortable. The attached restaurant had good food but closes at 7:00 (kitchen at 6:30). It was fairly clean but very outdated. Still using those nasty bedspreads that are laundered occasionally. At check out the front desk will come and “inspect” the room (which was just weird) before the $100 incidentals fee is returned

Had to request a change of rooms because the toilet was plugged in the first. They sent 2 girls up with a plunger to unclog it. Next flush it still didn’t work. Moved to another room that appeared unused for quite sometime. Flooring was cracked, no extras little blow dryer or microwave and after the second day the coffee marker stopped working which was ok because they didn’t bring more coffee. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was good, everything in Halifax was booked or very expensive.

Very basic property and rooms but lovely staff.
