This place has a great restaurant with everything cooked perfectly nice breakfast real nice rooms good pools spa on hand nothing to complain about here and for the price one of the nicest in Santa Marta. Clean quiet great value

The hotel is lovely with great facilities and friendly staff. As with lots of Santa Marta great care is required when leaving the hotel after 7.30pm, although i didn’t see or experience any issues as used taxis to get around.

Amazing hotel. Very beautifully laid out, attention to detail is exceptionnal in the design. Staff is professional, helpful and polite. Pools and spas feel nice, lots of spots outside the room to just rest and enjoy. Plants everywhere make for a great natural ambiance. The walk from the most busy area can feel a bit sketchy at night but we did it (2 women) without any problem. If you were uncomfortable, it's a quick and cheap cab ride. Apart from that, it's a good five stars from me!

My favorite place in Santa Marta

Terrific team and super helpful. We took taxis to leave the hotel as the street is not pleasant. Kitchen is good, spa services are excellent and the front desk staff were great about helping us find our way around. I would stay there again.

A gem of a hotel near the heart of Santa Marta.

I love the facilities. I was not so crazy about the surrounding area. You have to walk about 10 min to get to the plaza and the area that is more active. This city has a great deal of vacant commercial properties and folks hanging out. During the evening I suggest you take a cab to enhance your safety.

Safety is a major concern at this hotel given its location. I would not arrive/leave the hotel unless you take a taxi. I was truly shocked given the rating of the hotel. This is a fine hotel, but don’t expect 4 star quality or safety.

I was referred to stay at Hotel Carolina,,and was not disappointed the whole building is unique and wonderful ,i personally loved the rooftop pool ,you will understand why,, the staff was terrific,close to everything in the Historic section and Marina ,,George V from St Petersburg Fl

Very attentive & helpful staff, well maintained and clean. Beautiful property with plants, small pools and an area to do yoga. Convenient location in the historic district close to all the neat restaurants and cafes. Our rooms was spacious. We loved our stay and would return! :)

Great hidden gem! You'll have to call front desk for heavier luggage since there's no elevator.

A fantastic 3 night stay here, October 24. A beautifully renovated hotel. Check-in was great. Fast and easy. The staff speak Spanish and English. We had a suite which was spacious for a family of 4. The main bedroom is separated from the area where the kids slept. Comfy beds, balcony over the pool, and a huge bathroom. TV in both rooms kept the kids happy! The pools are lovely with 3 options of pool! The bar and restaurantares great. Service is impeccable, and the food and drink were lovely. Included in the price was a free breakfast, which was very good. And there's very good free Wi-Fi. The locationn is great and very central. 5 minute walk to the seafront and beach. Be careful at night at the area can be a bit sketchy. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd come back here for sure.
