Staff and the view was good but this place is in remote area only access to the hotel is by hotel truck. This place is fair away from city or beaches with no access to transport and the hotel’s transportation is very expensive with time limitations because after 10pm They close then no support or answer by phone. we get for our check in by 10:40pm it was miserable no answer by phone, instructions or support we was stopped by armed guards in the middle of hill with heavy luggages. Really bad experience. We have booked for 4 nights but we left after first night without refunds we booked other hotel because make no sense spending our vacation time inside the hotel or without freedom to enjoy El Nido.

We stayed at Ahana Resort for four nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were very attentive and truly focused on meeting guests’ needs, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The only suggestion I would make is to have a small fridge in the room to keep drinks cool. Other than that, everything was great and we really appreciated the warm hospitality.

Booked 2 rooms, but needed to cancel/change the dates. So we messaged the owners and asked to change the booking. They outright ignored us and refused to issue a reduns.

Balcony view amazing. Room not maintained such as bathtub and faucets. No privacy due to windows by side entrance. Not easily accessible. Great staff though very accommodating

Won’t recommend this place. I don’t usually leave reviews in any hotels or restaurants I go to but I feel like I’ve got to do this. First off, the resort is way up the hill and the road is muddy and no barrier fence. Service van is ranging from php800-1,200 for one way. The electronic hotel safe wasn’t working I had to ask the staff to replace it. The bathroom smelt very bad likely from clogged drains or broken toilet seal and when I told the staff, his response was “it’s usually like that and the smell will go away in about 5 mins”. No way I’d stay there so I requested another room. New room was okay beside the flickering lights, old and moldy cabinets and rusty shower head. Lastly, the resort is being falsely advertised with “Breakfast Included” but none of the workers are aware of it even after showing it to the receptionist, he just claimed it must be some error in booking.

It's surrounded by nature so it was nice and peaceful. But there are things needed to be addressed and improved 1) great service to customers is very important, the receptionist is not really accommodating and good in response to inquiries and requests. The way how to response and to make the guests feels at home is by accommodating them properly. 2) limited transporation is very challenging. Night out in town is one to experience but the hotel is like 30mins away so the pick up of the guests should be until 10pm or another bucks to pay for overtime of the driver. Not really nice because the transportation back and forth is expensive, you have to pay to the hotel for the transportation service. 3) Availability of the food.

Terrible Experience – Not Worth the Money I rarely leave reviews, but this stay was frustrating enough to speak up. First off, the road leading to the hotel is in awful condition—unpaved, full of potholes, and barely accessible unless you’re in a heavy-duty vehicle. Transportation options are extremely limited, and the hotel’s shuttle service is outrageously overpriced for the short and rough trip. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with attitude instead of hospitality. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. Once we got to our room, we discovered there was no Wi-Fi access—something you'd expect to be basic in any hotel nowadays. The food was another major letdown. It honestly felt like cafeteria food at best. Overall, between the poor access, unhelpful staff, bad food, and lack of basic amenities, this place is completely overrated and not worth what they charge. I won’t be coming back and definitely do not recommend it to anyone.

The pool gave me a serve chemical reaction I had as rash so bad. 2. I was food poisoned. I had dinner and 3 hours later I was throwing up and diarrhea from 11pm till 3pm the next day

I dont often leave reviews but this hotel was so woefully inspiring i had to put pencil to paper (sort of speak). When i say this hotel is painfully beautiful i mean it is a stunning hotel fit with a bohemian serene temple aesthetic with stones and marble opulence. From the pool to the bathtubs to the balcony (to the wonderful included robes) this place is beautiful when looking at it. The ever-so-slightly painful part: l upon arrival to the bus terminal our hotel offered a car pick up to go back to the hotel 15 minute drive (800 php), upon entry im asking the driver truly how far this hotel is and how to get up the mountain hill trek to get to the front door:the tuktuks will take you to the start of the hotel but not all the way up(more on that later), we check in they briefly explained the hotel, no wifi in the room only wifi in public areas, no flushing toilet paper etc and we checked in and passed out. We had to request the water heater to be turned on to shower which i get for eco type hotels but odd to some, not possible to walk the mud-broken-chopped rock- hill in cute shoes, you can ask the hotel to pick you up and drop you off from the bottom of the hill but you can only get 2 rides a day for free ..not to mention the prices for them to drive you anywhere (500 to town, over 800php to the beach 15min away at one way prices). Id recommend this hotel to those ready for walking haggling the distance, or for staying exactly where you are…ps food here is lackluster

👍 Friendly staff, quiet place, nice view. 👎 No access for transportation to town centre being off the road. Complimentary drop off and pick up to and from town centre for guests would be nice. Not much seafood on the menu.

Beautiful hotel with an amazinf view during the day and subset, really picturesque. Staff were great, super helpful and friendly. Three downsides to comfort, 1) the AC didnt cool the room, 2) the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, 3) the hotel is located on a hill that transport wouldnt go up

I truly am satisfied with my stay at Ahana resort. The resort is tranquil and beyond my expectations. The view is spectacular. The service was excellent. From the desk to the room service, they were all friendly, polite and helpful. Thank you so much to Jon Jon, who drove us to places and even helped us get cheaper pasalubong, Edmond took care of our food and drinks and took time for conversation, Neal took care of our tours and infos. The whole staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. I’ve been to many resorts and this is the best experience I’ve ever had. I also got acquainted with the owner and her sisters, who were very nice to us. The food was good. and the room was clean and nice. I really felt like I was home away from home. I highly recommend this resort for people who want to get away from the crowds and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation. 👍👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The property itself is beautiful with a beautiful scenic view. The biggest downfall is that it sits off an unpaved dirt road with a very steep hill. We had to walk up this hill every night in the pitch dark. The property is about 25 minutes from El Nido.

Since the first day we got there, they say that they provide an airport shuttle, which upon arrival there was none and no way of reaching them through the contact information they provided on Expedia. We had to wait and find a taxi car because I couldn’t go on the Tuk Tuk trycicle since I am pregnant and we had lots of luggage with us. We paid the expensive taxi to get us to Ahana. Once we find the resort, it is steep up the hill which was super scary to go up in a little car. The hill was so steep and the road was not done. Definitely needed a 4x4 car which we did not have, so it felt as if we were about to fall off the cliff. We had to get out of the car in the middle of the road because it was so scary. Then once checking in with the resort, we sure asked for a refund because we did not want to stay there since the road was so scary to even go anywhere to explore, so we felt like we had to be stuck in that hotel. And they wouldn’t give our refund so we had to stay. Our only source for food the first day we got there was at the hotel. We only ate at the hotel the whole day, lunch and dinner and then breakfast the next morning, which they tried to charge us for breakfast when it was supposed to be complimentary. As soon as I had the breakfast, I felt sick & got food poising and that was the day we left on our tour. I couldn’t get out of the restroom took some medicine for that then couldn’t stop throwing up. Mind u I am pregnant and I haven’t thrown up the whole 4 months...

Access to the property requires a 4-wheel-drive vehicle, as other types of vehicles are not suitable for reaching the location. It is important to note that the hotel imposes charges for each trip along the road to and from the hill where the hotel is situated. Unfortunately, this information was not disclosed to us at the time of booking. Additionally, we found the pricing for tours offered by the hotel to be significantly higher compared to alternatives available in the city. The discrepancy in costs was notable, with tours labeled as A, B, C, or D being priced at half or less than what the hotel was charging. Despite the hotel justifying the higher costs, it is recommended to avoid reserving any tours through the hotel to ensure a more cost-effective and transparent experience.

It was all great. The drive up to the hotel is mighty rough, but it’s worth it. It’s a beautiful place with warm and caring staff.
