Very nice hotel - I will be back

I travelled to Oss for business in August. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are quite large and the beds very comfortable. All rooms I stayed in had air conditioning, a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. Breakfast was very good with hot and cold items available. The hotel had its own car park.

The hotel itself is weird, a mix of two parts… the downstairs/reception and dinner is EXCELLENT and looks 4/5 star. The food was completely outstanding, with the staff talking you through the menu, wine options, menu options - and as we were staying we were offered a set menu price cheaper as guests. Breakfast was great, very European, lovely staff, good service. But then when you go upstairs into the rooms it’s like a different hotel. The room itself is in need of a total update. The bathroom and all appliance are very dated and aged. To open the mini bar you had to use your room key, I had a choice of having my tv or the fridge plugged in at once… and the furniture was very uncomfortable. However, that all being said, rooms were spotless, freshly cleaned, had working aircon, good sized wardrobe and plugs/lighting.

Good WiFi, a few minutes walk from train station, clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast but fairly basic. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Loads of good restaurants nearby. Did not dine in the attached Michelin restaurant but the steak served at the bar is fantastic! Loved the Greek restaurant Olympia just 2 blocks from Hotel. Hope to return to the Wererij!

Positives - Easy to get to from train station and near town - Restaurant with room service - Nice rooms Negatives - Pay for breakfast up ahead even if you don't eat, would prefer be nice to have an la carte option or refund for the days when you don't use. - Rooms in winter were cold and house keeping kept turning down the heat in the mornings for room was cold when you got back and took a while to warm up. - Beds are small, would be nice to have at least a queen bed option ,,

In the middle of winter the heat is well too reduced or even turned off in the night and comes back early in the morning. I had a cold night. Also I had to use earplugs to cope with ambient street noise reaching the room during early hours ( 1-4 AM ). Breakfast is very limited but conveniently even served little after hours ( 15 min.) Rate is higher than should be for the level. Central location close to restaurants and shopping. Garage lighting is very unusual : bright and shiny apple green neonlights. Groping and sexual harrassement seems normal at the bar at 10 in the morning. Hotel was almost empty when I stayed, only few rooms where booked ( <10%) Parking access is too narrow to drive in easily in one manoeuver with big car.

I have been there couple of times and I am very happy with anything, so I don't even try to look for another option.

It's a very traditional hotel and it needs a lot of upgrades. Box tv, light fixtures, phone, shower, etc

Another comfortable stay with welcoming and professional staff. My request for gluten-free bread rolls at breakfast was no problem. The bar staff also offered to specially obtain some gluten-free beers for me too! Very tasty and I appreciated their efforts to accomodate my request. My 2nd floor room was clean and comfortable although the orange designer chair I found too stiff and rigid to use for more than 5 minutes. Perhaps time for a modern replacement? The bathroom was spacious and clean with a strong shower. Housekeeping did a good thorough service every day. I shall definitely be using this hotel on my future visits.

Hotel room (classic) reminded me very much of my college dorm room, in feel and look. But clean and spacious! Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Oss is a good homebase for other towns and cities reachable by train and bus.

Quality hotel

The Hotel was very good and ideal for our purpose of a one night stay. I would stay again at this Hotel but it is important that the following information is known to anybody that wishes to stay at this Hotel.The free Hotel parking is very limited and it is a little confusing when you arrive because the large area directly in front of the Hotel is not the car park, but there is very reasonable overnight secure parking next to the Hotel (4 Euros). There were no Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room, but there was a small fridge/mini bar. The Hotel allows pets to stay at a cost of 15 euros per pet. I would recommend booking a table in the Restaurant before you arrive because the Restaurant is very popular and was fully booked, so we were unable to eat at the Hotel. There are, however, plenty of Restaurants within 5 minutes walk from the Hotel.

Very enjoyable stay, staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely. Will definitely return to this hotel when in Oss.

Room comfort was great but a bit tired, excellent restaurant.
