This is an old wooden building. It was extremely hot. There was a fan in the room but it did not do much. The location is good as well as the breakfast. Friendly staff commited to help.

Everything was jut fine: the room was a two storey flat, very picglresque and the girls in the receögion very velpxjl an plsiri e.

This is a quaint hotel that will certainly appeal to a lot of people. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The layout and stairs might be a problem for people with mobility difficulties. The dining room had limited hours and the next closest restaurants are 0.5-1 km away. Travellers should be aware that sidewalk clearing in winter is not as complete as is common in North American. Beware, the sidewalks can be very icy. This obviously is not the hotel's responsibility. We enjoyed our stay.

Very pretty room and hotel but gets uncomfortable in a hot weather, it was v hot out, no AC and opening windows did not help much as both windows are on the same side of the room. I recommend staying during cooler weather as we found it hard to fall asleep in such a hot and stuffy room

We cannot fault the warm and accommodating service of the staff at this property. They made us very welcome. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. As we visited during a very warm period, the addition of air conditioning or fans would have been good. The hotel is not in the city centre, but only a short walk will get you there. Recommend it.

Beautiful, historic inn. While it was a little awkward to have to exit the main building to access our building, and negotiate the circular staircase with our luggage, it was a lovely building, and we enjoyed our every minute there. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The University, the museums and historical sights were all within walking distance. We didn't have to use the car. When it came time to eat, their food was the best.

This is a delightful,small boutique hotel about 10 minutes walk from the city centre. Not modern but it does have fridge and the usual comforts. Nicely decorated in a traditional style. Very well maintained and serviced. Spotlessly clean. Staff were the most welcoming and helpful in my 50 years of travel on five continents. After 6pm catering is limited but there are plentiful restraints and cafes in the city. Car park is good and convenient. Some rooms involve climbing fairly steep flight of stairs

This turn of the 19th century building has its charms. It has been a private residence and a library and it is uncertain what else. Our room was on the second of two floors and the stairs were fairly steep, characteristic of the period. I managed to carry my bag up but the staff carried them down (we are 70+ yrs). The real charm is the staff. When we asked for a taxi before breakfast serving time, they offered a box lunch to take away. Courteous and eager to serve, these ladies were gracious hosts. This was our twelfth trip to Europe and they served the best coffee anywhere, including Italy and France.

It was my 80-years "celebration"voyage. Your hotel was exellent for it and staying there was unforgettable. Thank You Antti Parkkonen

The hotel is in an older building w/o an elevator. We had to get our luggage upstairs; not a problem for us and I am sure the hotel staff would have helped if asked. Parking in the back of the hotel is available. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Breakfast was good. It is located in walking distance to the old town which has a very nice open central plaza with restaurants and seating outside. The hotel itself has a restaurant which many locals appear to be using; we went for the plaza. This is a good choice for a few days visit in Tartu.

The hotel is cute, and we slept well. However, the refrigerator in the room didn't work, and the WiFi was down the entire day and night we were there. If those had been fixed, we would probably have rated it at 4 out of 5. We also had to climb a steep staircase to our room. Breakfast was average or slightly higher.

Villa Margaretha is a charming old villa. Beautiful high rooms with a comfortable settee to sit and read or enjoy a drink. The restaurant serves excellent dinners and the breakfast should satisfy most people. The staff is extremely helphul and pleasant.

Beautiful historic building not far from the city center. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. The only complain is that they need kind of climate control system. It was very cold in our suite. Turning heater on helps a bit.
