Les + : . Le personnel très sympathique et de bon conseil pour les restaurants. . Chambre simple mais avec vue sur la baie . Bonne literie Les - : . Pas de climatisation avec une température extérieure proche des 30 degrés et un ventilateur d’appoint qui ne fonctionnait pas.( donc on dort fenêtre ouverte et nous sommes réveillés par les éboueurs très tôt le matin) . Petit-déjeuner simple ( pas de fruits par exemple…) . Rapport qualité/prix un peu élevé à mon goût

Location was great. We parked for free by canal then hired 2 bikes for 24 hours and locked the bikes overnight at the hotel. Very safe. Lovely place to visit. Would say 1 day is enough

No issues with the property other than some road noise in the morning. Free parking is pretty remote and drop off area is only 1 space which is tricky when it is busy, which it generally appears to be during the day.

In town centre

The Hotel is situated overlooking the Baie de Somme so rooms with a bay view are really essential but, inevitably, priced at a premium rate. The decor is somewhat eccentric bing quite dark in places although the rooms are spotlessly clean. It was perhaps unfortunate that our room lacked a shower cabinet as the freestanding bath with attached shower, although functional, did not make showering itself easy. The biggest drawback from what is otherwise a very good hotel with helpful staff, is the lack of parking. Free parking exists but is over a mile away, local on street parking is very expensive with a full 24 hours coming out at nearly 25 Euros.

Good location though parking was very expensive within the town. Our room was very small and hot and we found the bed hard. Otherwise a stylish hotel with friendly staff. Would recommend a room with a river view as the street side gets a lot of sun and can be noisy in the morning

My husband and I spent only one night while travelling but would love to come back. The village looks delightful, the hotel is very comfortable and the staff are pleasant and accommodating. The only problem for us was the lack of secure car park, which at the same time is not on-site although hotels.com leads to believe it is. The restaurant was closed because it was Monday but we were directed to an excellent bistro about 50 metres away, not cheap but the food was delicious. We could not use the internet in the room. The room as well as the bed were very comfortable; the bathroom had a wet area, which was a plus.

We stayed on 16th and 17th September 2015. Whilst understanding that this is not high season, neither is it the depths of winter and it was disappointing not to be able to get a drink in the hotel, other than in our room, after 9pm. Others may also wish to note that not many places in St Valery are open at this time of year, so choice of places to eat was quite limited - despite that, what we did have was very good.
